Textural and Volumetric Changes of the Temporal Lobes in Semantic Variant Primary Progressive Aphasia and Alzheimer's Disease.
Texture analysis may capture subtle changes in the gray matter more sensitively than volumetric analysis. We aimed to investigate the patterns of neurodegeneration in semantic variant primary progressive aphasia (svPPA) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) by comparing the temporal gray matter texture and volume between cognitively normal controls and older adults with svPPA and AD. ⋯ Texture may be a useful neuroimaging marker for early detection of svPPA in older adults and its differentiation from AD.

Anatomical Structures to Be Concerned With During Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter Procedures.
The central line has been frequently used for drug and nutrition supply and regular blood sampling of patients with chronic diseases. However, this procedure is performed in a highly sensitive area and has several potential complications. Therefore, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), which have various advantages, are being extensively used. Although the number of PICC procedures is increasing, the anatomy for safe procedures has not yet been properly established. Therefore, we studied basic anatomical information for safe procedures. ⋯ According to these results, the right arm has a shorter distance from the insertion site to the right atrium, and the left arm has a wider vein diameter, which is advantageous for the procedure. In addition, the ulnar nerve and brachial artery were located close to or behind the insertion site. Therefore, special attention is required during the procedure to avoid damaging these important structures.

Case ReportsDe Novo ANCA-Negative Pauci-Immune Crescentic Glomerulonephritis After COVID-19 mRNA Vaccination: A Case Report.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, vaccines have been authorized for emergency use and implemented worldwide. We present a case of de novo glomerulonephritis (GN) after use of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine BNT162b2. A 48-year-old man with no relevant medical history was referred for sudden and persistent worsening of renal insufficiency 1.5 months after the second vaccine dose. ⋯ Several cases of GN suspected to be related to COVID-19 vaccines have been reported. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of ANCA-negative pauci-immune crescentic CrGN with extrarenal involvement after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination. Our finding expands the spectrum of COVID-19 vaccine-associated GN.

ReviewThe Impact of Social Media on Vaccination: A Narrative Review.
Vaccine hesitancy poses a significant global health challenge, fueled by misinformation and anti-vaccination campaigns on social media platforms (SMPs). This study examines the influence of social media on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and non-COVID-19 vaccination in Asia during the peri-pandemic period. Through a comprehensive analysis of available literature, we aim to elucidate the role of SMPs in shaping vaccination attitudes and behaviors. ⋯ SMPs negatively impact vaccine intent in Asia due to misinformation and anti-vaccination campaigns during the pandemic. However, they can be a powerful tool for healthcare providers and policymakers to promote informed decision-making. Efforts should focus on leveraging SMPs to disseminate reliable information and combat hesitancy, fostering a well-informed and vaccinated population in Asia.
