There is a paucity of large-scale studies evaluating the clinical benefit of the Gaviscon Double Action (DA) alginate-antacid formulation for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms. ⋯ Gaviscon DA tablets provide effective and safe reduction in acid reflux and dyspepsia symptoms in Chinese individuals with mild-to-moderate GERD. Review Meta AnalysisSystematic review with meta-analysis: coffee consumption and the risk of gallstone disease.
Epidemiologic evidence on coffee consumption reducing the risk of gallstone disease has been contradictory. ⋯ This study suggests that coffee consumption is related to a significantly decreased risk of gallstone disease.
