Meta AnalysisEvidence for kinesio taping in management of myofascial pain syndrome: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of kinesio taping for managing myofascial pain syndrome in terms of pain intensity, pressure pain threshold, range of motion, muscle strength and disability. ⋯ Statistical evidence showed that kinesio taping could be recommended to relieve pain intensity and range of motion for patients with myofascial pain syndrome at post-intervention.

Controlled Clinical TrialEfficacy of high-intensity laser therapy in subacromial impingement syndrome: a three-month follow-up controlled clinical trial.
To evaluate the effectiveness of high-intensity laser therapy on shoulder pain and function in subacromial impingement syndrome. ⋯ The effect of high-intensity laser therapy plus exercise is not higher than exercise alone to reduce pain and improve functionality in patients with subacromial syndrome.

The Short Musculoskeletal Function Assessment: a study of the reliability, construct validity and responsiveness in patients sustaining trauma.
To assess test-retest reliability, construct validity and responsiveness of the Dutch Short Musculoskeletal Function Assessment (SMFA-NL) in patients who sustained acute physical trauma. ⋯ This study showed that the SMFA-NL has good to excellent reliability, sufficient construct validity and is able to detect change in physical function over time.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of manual therapy based on neurodynamic techniques in conservative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. ⋯ The use of neurodynamic techniques in conservative treatment for mild to moderate forms of carpal tunnel syndrome has significant therapeutic benefits.

To determine the short-term effects of supplying hospital inpatients with earplugs and eye masks, preparatory to a full-scale trial. ⋯ The intervention seems feasible, and effective, but trial eligibility rate and rate of recruitment into the study were limited.
