The world has been suffering incredible loss due to a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2' (SARS-CoV-2; 2019-nCoV). The disease was later named the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19). The transmission routes of COVID-19 include respiratory transmission, aerosol transmission, and contact transmission. ⋯ Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital is a comprehensive hospital with 18 craniofacial-/dental-related departments. During the outbreak of COVID-19 and up to the present date, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in this hospital thanks to strict protocols for infection prevention and control. In this communication, we would like to share with the prosthodontic community our experience in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in our dental departments and hope it will contribute to the worldwide efforts to overcome the global COVID-19 pandemic.

To evaluate the challenges of the direct filling technique, the use of dental chairside CAD/CAM milling, the use of 3D printing, and the attitudes toward 3D printing-based applications for restorative treatments among Finnish dentists. ⋯ If dental chairside CAD/CAM technology can provide a solution for manufacturing long-lasting indirect restorations with good esthetic properties and an effective cost-benefit ratio, the wider use of chairside CAD/CAM systems might be indicated, especially in the public sector. New 3D printing-based applications used for restorative treatments are attracting interest among Finnish dentists, but also indicate a need for further development of 3D printing techniques for cost-effective restorative treatment.

Case Reports
Oculo-Dento-Digital Dysplasia (ODDD) Due to a GJA1 Mutation: Report of a Case with Emphasis on Dental Manifestations.
Oculo-dento-digital dysplasia (ODDD) is a congenital disorder manifesting with multiple phenotypic abnormalities involving the face, eyes, teeth, and limbs in addition to neurologic symptomatology. This report aims to present a female patient with ODDD who was referred due to extensive oral restorative needs. ⋯ Clinical suspicion was confirmed by genetic sequencing revealing heterozygous mutation in GJA1. It is important to be aware of genetic disorders associated with characteristic dental malformations to offer appropriate counseling and treatment.

The aim of this study was to outline how search strategies can be systematic, to examine how the searches in recent systematic reviews in prosthodontic and implant-related journals were structured, and to determine whether the search strategies used in those articles were systematic. ⋯ More than 95% of recent prosthodontic and implant review articles published in the selected journals failed to use search strategies that were systematic, and this undermines the conclusions. Many resources are available to help investigators design search strategies for systematic reviews that minimize the risk of omitting important data, including the simple criteria presented in this paper.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Parallel Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial in Patients with Temporomandibular Disorders Treated with a CAD/CAM Versus a Conventional Stabilization Splint.
This parallel randomized controlled trial (RCT) compared the efficacy of a computer-aided design/computer-assisted manufacture (CAD/CAM) splint versus a conventional stabilization splint in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). ⋯ Both treatments were equally efficacious and no difference was found between them.
