In Kuwait, knowledge and attitudes of the health care teams toward occupational therapy practice (OTP) have not been investigated. This current study sought to explore the knowledge about and attitudes of interdisciplinary team members toward OTP. ⋯ For effective collaborative practice and better patients' outcomes, the study findings recommend the development of interprofessional initiative committees targeting educational settings as well as clinical environments.

A 57-year-old female with a 33-year history of constant hand discoloration and paronychia had undergone multiple evaluations with a failure to find a diagnosis. She continues to undergo an evolving treatment regimen and diagnostic workup in an effort to find a long-eluded diagnosis. ⋯ Despite still lacking a formal diagnosis, her constellation of symptoms is most likely the result of an atypical presentation of Raynaud's disease.

This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of cerebral arterial air embolism. ⋯ Artificial pneumothorax may induce cerebral arterial air embolism.

A rare case of a suicidal use of gases from the car exhaust system of the car petrol engine in an open space is presented. ⋯ This case was studied to observe the pattern of fatal carbon monoxide poisoning in an open space. This might be helpful for forensic medicine, emergency medicine, and occupational medicine.

Highly porous titanium cups have been recently introduced, with contradictory outcomes. A retrospective consecutive case series involving bilateral metachronous total hip arthroplasties (THA) performed with 2 different cups, i.e., Fixa (F) and Fixa Ti-Por (T) (Adler Ortho, Milan, Italy), and the same stem, was evaluated. T sockets, manufactured using electron beam melting, were supposed to prove superior in terms of clinical results, survival rates, and radiographic parameters in comparison to hydroxyapatite-coated F cups with conventional porosity. ⋯ Highly porous titanium cups produced using an additive manufacturing and electron beam melting technology achieved reliable midterm clinical and radiographic results not inferior to those of second-generation cups.
