Evaluating the Outcome of Two Different Regimes in Adhesive Capsulitis: A Prospective Clinical Study.
Adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder is a painful condition affecting up to 5% of the general population. We conducted this study with the aim of evaluating the results of physiotherapy plus intra-articular methylprednisolone injection versus physiotherapy alone in idiopathic frozen shoulder. ⋯ The results demonstrate the advantages of physiotherapy plus intra-articular steroid injection in idiopathic frozen shoulder. The predictability of results with physiotherapy plus intra-articular steroid injection in selected patients is excellent, and it is a better modality of treatment compared to physiotherapy alone.

To investigate the prevalence of asymptomatic coronary artery stenosis (CAS) using coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) in Korean men with erectile dysfunction (ED). ⋯ This study shows that CCTA-based CAS is a common phenomenon in men who have ED. Furthermore, ED patients without cardiac symptoms need to be investigated for the possibility of hidden CAD.

Earlier findings revealed the damaging effect of visible light on zygotes and gametes. The aim of our study is to eliminate or significantly reduce the potentially harmful effects of light exposure during in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and to investigate the effect of light protection on embryo development and implantation. ⋯ These data show that light protection has a positive effect on fertilization rate and increases the blastocyst development as well as the number of clinical pregnancies/transfers. Implementation of this light protection method in IVF centers may improve the success rate while maintaining maximal embryo safety.

To compare the diagnostic ability and time efficiency of contrast-enhanced (CE) whole body fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) protocol and non-CE (NCE) protocol. ⋯ The CE FDG PET/MRI protocol enables fast and accurate detection of malignancies compared to the NCE FDG PET/MRI protocol, particularly in the upper abdomen and brain. Diagnostic ability and time efficiency can be increased with the proposed short CE protocol in place of the whole body PET/MRI protocol including both NCE and CE imaging sequences.

The Effect of Resin Infiltration on the Progression of Proximal Caries Lesions: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
The aim of this clinical trial was to assess the effect of resin infiltration on the progression of proximal caries lesions. ⋯ Resin infiltration of proximal caries lesions is effective in reducing progression of the lesion.
