To investigate the cognition of cancer warning symptoms and cancer risk factors among Chinese college students, analyze the influencing factors, and explain the correlations between cancer cognition and cancer symptom discrimination, cancer fear and psychological distress. ⋯ The overall cancer cognition situation among Chinese college students is not optimistic, which highlights the necessity of improving the cancer health literacy among Chinese college students. With the increasing morbidity and mortality rates of cancer, it is necessary to raise awareness of early detection, and early treatment of cancer among the general public. Health education interventions are helpful to improve cancer health literacy.

A shift towards more plant-based diets is considered healthy and environmentally sustainable but may cause a concern regarding protein and amino acid intakes. This modelling study aimed to assess the impacts of partial replacement of red and processed meat with legumes or cereals on the protein and indispensable amino acid intakes in the Finnish adult population. ⋯ The mean daily protein intake remained sufficient when red and processed meat was partially replaced with legumes or cereals in the Finnish adult population. However, protein adequacy in the elderly population warrants attention and more research.

Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) could entrap tumour cells and promote their dissemination and metastasis. Further analysis of NETs-related molecules is expected to provide a new strategy for prognosis prediction and treatment of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients. ⋯ In conclusion, this model is a new and effective prognostic and efficacy predictive biomarker, FAM66C plays an oncogene role in the process of LUAD development. It may provide a new theoretical basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment in LUAD patients in early stage.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious complication after the repair of Type A acute aortic dissection (TA-AAD). However, previous models have failed to account for the impact of blood pressure fluctuations on predictive performance. This study aims to develop machine learning (ML) models combined with intraoperative medicine and blood pressure time-series data to improve the accuracy of early prediction for postoperative AKI risk. ⋯ With the introduction of intraoperative blood pressure time-series variables, we have developed an interpretable XGBoost model that successfully achieve high accuracy in predicting the risk of AKI after TA-AAD repair, which might aid in the perioperative management of high-risk patients, particularly for intraoperative hemodynamic regulation.

To explore the novel applications of histological factors by stratifying the prognostic markers of the overall CRC patients in subgroups. ⋯ The stratification analyses of prognostic markers in CRC patients indicate novel applications of the above histopathological and molecular markers in clinic and the findings provide new insights into future investigations of precision pathology.
