To evaluate the acceptability of two co-designed mobile applications Mit Sygehus [a knowledge-based solution] and Genoptræn.dk [a self-training solution] to support a cross-sectoral, person-centred and empowering stroke rehabilitation. ⋯ Stroke survivors and their significant others found Mit Sygehus and Genoptræn.dk acceptable to support cross-sectoral, person-centred and empowering stroke rehabilitation, however acceptability declined throughout the rehabilitation process. Further investigations are required to determine how cognitive rehabilitation can play a greater role in app-supported stroke rehabilitation and how the need for more long-term follow-up can be supported.

Propyl gallate (PG) has been found to exert an inhibitory effect on the growth of different cell types, including lung cancer cells. However, little is known about the cytotoxicological effects of PG specifically on normal primary lung cells. The current study examined the cellular effects and cell death resulting from PG treatment in human pulmonary fibroblast (HPF) cells. ⋯ In conclusion, PG induces G1 phase arrest of the cell cycle and cell death in HPF cells through apoptosis and/or necrosis. The observed HPF cell death is mediated by the modulation of Bax and caspase-3. These findings offer insights into the cytotoxic and molecular effects of PG on normal HPF cells.

Investigation of explainable deep learning methods for graph neural networks to predict HIV infections with social network information and performing domain adaptation to evaluate model transferability across different datasets. ⋯ GAT models can be used to address the data sparsity issue in HIV study populations. They are powerful tools for predicting individual risk of HIV that can be further explored for better understanding of HIV transmission.

The risk factors for long term cardiovascular symptoms in patients after coronavirus disease 2019 infection.
Presently, numerous studies have demonstrated that long-term cardiovascular changes after Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) infection should be considered. The study was aimed to explore the risk factors for post COVID-19 long-term cardiovascular symptoms. ⋯ Anxiety and depression, C-reactive protein, D-dimer, and LDL-C levels are associated with the development of post COVID-19 long-term cardiovascular symptoms.

Daytime sleepiness is an important health problem. However, the dimensionality of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) in older adults remains unclear. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of ESS-defined excessive daytime sleepiness in older adults. Furthermore, the dimensionality of ESS and its respective correlates were also compared. ⋯ The prevalence of ESS-defined excessive daytime sleepiness is high, and its correlates vary among older adults. This study also suggests a dual ESS structure in community-dwelling older adults.
