Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have achieved substantial advancements in clinical care. However, there is no strong evidence for identified biomarkers of ICIs in NPC. ⋯ Immune checkpoint inhibitor treatments significantly changed the levels of SII, NLR, PLR, LCR and LMR in NPC patients treated with immunotherapy. A lower baseline SII and a higher baseline LMR, and a reduction in SII and an elevation in LMR after immunotherapy are favorable factors for predicting survival among advanced NPC patients.

Clinical analysis of acute postoperative pain after total laparoscopic hysterectomy for adenomyosis and uterine fibroids - a prospective observational study.
To investigate the outcome of total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) and postoperative pain characteristics and compare the pain severity after TLH for adenomyosis or uterine fibroids. ⋯ Acute postoperative pain for adenomyosis and uterine fibroids showed considerably different severity, postoperative total pain and abdominal visceral pains of TLH for adenomyosis were more severe compared with uterine fibroids. While patients received goserelin before laparoscopic hysterectomy of adenomyosis suffered from less severity of postoperative total pain than that without goserelin preoperative treatment.

To screen and identify microRNAs (miRNAs) associated with the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) using clinical samples and construct a prediction model for the prognosis of LUAD. ⋯ miRNAs associated with the prognosis of patients with stage I LUAD were screened and validated, and a risk model for predicting the prognosis of patients was constructed. This model has good consistency with the actual prognosis of patients.

Antiretroviral therapy-linked metabolic abnormalities have become a growing concern among people living with HIV. There is limited data regarding the effects of dolutegravir-based treatment on blood glucose levels and serum lipid profiles in people living with HIV in Ethiopia. Thus, this study aimed to assess blood glucose levels and serum lipid profiles among people living with HIV on dolutegravir-based versus efavirenz-based therapy. ⋯ Efavirenz-based therapy resulted in higher mean values of total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein as compared with dolutegravir-based therapy. It is important to consider and evaluate high-density lipoprotein levels in HIV patients on dolutegravir-based therapy, and total cholesterol levels in people living with HIV on efavirenz-based therapy.
