This study aims to identify potential prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers in papillary renal cell carcinoma (pRCC). ⋯ Eight genes were identified as a prognostic biomarker and the expression level of PTTG1 was also found to serve as a potential predictor for ICB response in pRCC patients.Key messages:Eight genes, including BUB1B, CCNB1, CCNB2, MAD2L1, TTK, CDC20, PTTG1, and MCM were found to be negatively associated with pRCC patients' prognosis.Expression level of PTTG1 was significantly associated with tumour microenvironment including lymphocytes, immunomodulators, and chemokines.Higher expression level of PTTG1 was significantly associated with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) response in FUSCC cohort.

Background: Vertebral compression fractures (VCFs) often occur in patients with osteoporosis. These fractures can also lead to postural changes. Several studies have shown that patients with vertebral compression fractures have a restrictive pattern in their pulmonary function. ⋯ MVV showed significant progress at both 1 and 3 weeks after discharge. Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and maximal inspiratory muscle strength significantly improved 1 week after discharge. Conclusion: Taking all the data together, PVP not only can resolve severe back pain but can also provide excellent improvements in MVV and chest mobility in patients with vertebral compression fractures.

Shanghai University School of Medicine was a newly established medical college in 2018. It is founded on the national health development policies, international medical development trends and the close relationship between the advantages of new medical courses and medical artificial intelligence, it is dedicated to using intelligent medicine as the breakthrough point, training graduate students in two interdisciplinary medical engineering subjects as the priority, and implementing the integrated medical curriculum teaching reform. ⋯ This paper introduces the strategies and concrete measures we took to implement integrated medical course teaching. The analysis of examination papers and other evaluations revealed that the integrated medical teaching for graduate students with non-medical professional backgrounds is feasible.

Brucellosis is a severe public health problem in China. However, analysis on related infection events is lacking. We performed a systematic analysis of brucellosis laboratory infection and vaccine infection events from 2006 to 2019 in China based on the published literatures. ⋯ However, cluster S2 vaccine strain infection events caused by vaccination and production were mainly observed in Northern China. Strengthening vaccination skills, personal protection, and improving the biosafety management of vaccine production and implementing regular risk surveillance is mandatory. Our analysis provides helpful clues for control of public health events involving brucellosis, as well as implementing intervention strategies is urgent.

Therapeutic studies against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection have become one of the important works in global public health. ⋯ The above results provided potential target genes for early diagnosis and treatment of HIV + patients. IFI27 may be associated with the progression of HIV infection and may be a powerful target for immunotherapy.
