Comparison of androgen receptor mutation detection between plasma extracellular vesicle DNA and cell-free DNA and its relationship to prostate cancer prognosis.
In liquid biopsy, mutation detection is primarily performed using cell-free DNA (cfDNA). However, the numerous advantages of extracellular vesicle (EV) DNA for mutation detection have gradually garnered the attention of researchers in recent years. This study aimed to compare the differences between EV DNA and cfDNA in mutation detection and explore the role of plasma androgen receptor (AR) mutations in the prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ Mutation detection using either EV DNA or cfDNA is both feasible in PCa liquid biopsies, and EV DNA AR mutations have an advantage in prognostic assessment for PCa. This study lays the foundation for future research on EV DNA-related biomarkers.

Academic performance among pharmacy students using virtual vs. face-to-face team-based learning.
This study compares pharmacy students' performance using face-to-face (FTF) team-based learning (TBL) vs. virtual TBL across multiple courses and different academic levels while accounting for student demographic and academic factors. ⋯ Students' performance in virtual TBL vs. FTF TBL in the pharmacy didactic curriculum varies depending on the course content, academic year, and type of assessment.

To evaluate the characteristics and prognoses of idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane (iERM) using a classification based on the foveal avascular zone (FAZ) area. ⋯ A classification based on the FAZ area was established innovatively. This classification can reflect the progression of iERM and is helpful to the postoperative prognosis.

Real-world data on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) are scarce and studies have been restricted in terms of instruments used for assessments. ⋯ Individuals with GPP have a considerable impairment in both generic and dermatology-specific HRQoL. The HRQoL was significantly worse in individuals with GPP compared to individuals with plaque psoriasis. The significant HRQoL impairment of GPP shows the potential value of better healthcare interventions for this multisystem disease.
