Suspected adipose tumours of the hand and the potential risk for malignant transformation to sarcoma: a series of 14 patients.
Lipomas are associated with a variety of symptoms including neuropathies, local compression of the surrounding tissues, aesthetic complaints and may be graded as liposarcomas histologically. This study was performed to review our surgical management at the level of the hand. ⋯ IV.

Case ReportsTriple hourglass-like fascicular constriction of the posterior interosseous nerve: a rare cause of PIN syndrome.
Supinator syndrome or posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) syndrome is a compression neuropathy of the deep branch of the radial nerve in the region of the Arcade of Frohse. An extremely rare cause of an acute onset supinator syndrome is the hourglass-like fascicular constriction of the posterior interosseous nerve due to torsion. To our knowledge, only a limited number of cases which describe the sonographic appearance of fascicular torsions are known in the literature. We present a rare case of a supinator syndrome associated with hourglass-like constrictions of the PIN diagnosed by means of sonography.

Improved tibial component rotation in TKA using patient-specific instrumentation.
Patient-specific instrumentation (PSI) was introduced in an attempt to reduce positional outliers of components in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). It was hypothesized that PSI could help with the positioning of tibial components in optimal rotational alignment. ⋯ In this setup, PSI was effective in significantly reducing outliers of optimal rotational tibial component alignment during TKA. Anatomy of the proximal tibia does not deliver clear landmarks that are prominent and consistent. This makes both, MRI analysis as well as cutting jig production and intraoperative placement a challenge.
