Revisional triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) repair using arthroscopic one-tunnel transosseous suture: preliminary results.
The purpose of this study was to report the clinical outcome of revision arthroscopic triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) foveal repair using a one-tunnel transosseous suture technique after failed primary TFCC repair. ⋯ Level IV, therapeutic case series.

Epidemiological analysis of injury occurrence and current prevention strategies on international amateur football level during the UEFA Regions Cup 2019.
Football is the most popular sport worldwide and results in a high frequency of injuries. So far, mainly injuries in professional football have been investigated, and the literature lacks data regarding detailed injury epidemiology and current prevention data in amateur football tournaments. ⋯ This study presents for the first time epidemiological injury and prevention data of the UEFA Regions Cup. Injury incidence was higher compared to injury reports of regular seasons, but lower compared to other amateur football tournaments. Currently used prevention programs revealed trunk muscle exercises as often neglected.

Lessons learned with the Cobra prosthesis in elderly patients with complex distal radius fractures-a retrospective follow-up study.
Recently, the Cobra prostheses were introduced in the treatment of distal radius fractures (DRF) of elderly patients. Fracture prostheses provide an alternative treatment option for complex fractures where conservative therapy seems not acceptable and osteosynthesis seems not possible. Data reporting the feasibility of the Cobra prosthesis are sparse. Therefore, this retrospective follow-up study investigated the clinical and radiological mid-term outcome of the Cobra implant in complex DRFs of elderly patients. ⋯ The prosthetic treatment of complex DRFs in elderly patients with the Cobra implant led to clinically and radiologically satisfactory mid-term results. The Cobra prosthesis still does not represent a gold standard but can be regarded as a feasible salvage option for complex DRFs when osteosyntheses may not be possible and non-operative treatment will lead to further functional restrictions and wrist pain during performing activities of daily life in high functional demand patients.

Is bipolar hemiarthroplasty an appropriate type of hip articulation following proximal femoral or total femoral resections for musculoskeletal malignancies?
Different approaches are applied for reconstruction in patients with a musculoskeletal malignancy which require a proximal femoral or total femoral resection. We aimed to evaluate the treatment outcomes of patients who underwent a proximal femoral or total femoral resection due to bone and soft tissue tumors and had an endoprosthetic reconstruction by a bipolar hemiarthroplasty type of hip articulation. ⋯ In patients who undergo a proximal femoral or a total femoral resection due to a musculoskeletal tumor, bipolar hemiarthroplasty is an adequate type of hip articulation method, since it does not affect the revision requirements and functional outcomes of patients with acetabular erosion.

Third-generation intramedullary nailing for displaced proximal humeral fractures in the elderly: quality of life, clinical results, and complications.
Antegrade insertion of third-generation intramedullary nail (IMN) has been shown to provide excellent results in young patients for treatment of displaced two-part surgical neck fracture. In elderly patients, osteoporosis makes internal fixation problematic and frequently contributes to failed fixation and poor clinical results. The purpose of this study was to report the health-related quality of life (HRQoL), functional results, and postoperative complications obtained with straight third-generation antegrade nailing of proximal humerus fractures (PHFs) in elderly patients. ⋯ Appropriate selection of fracture and proper operative technique with a third-generation nail result in good functional results and good HRQol with a low complication rate in elderly population.
