Minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis using 3D printing for shaft fractures of clavicles: technical note.
This article describes a minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis technique for midshaft fractures of clavicles using intramedullary indirect reduction and prebent plates with 3D printing models. This technique allows for easy reduction of fractures with accurate prebent plates and minimal soft tissue injury around the fracture site.

Arthroscopic reduction and acetabuloplasty for the treatment of dislocated hips in children of walking age: a preliminary report.
This paper presents our initial findings on the use of arthroscopic hip reduction in conjunction with acetabuloplasty to treat patients of walking age who had congenital dislocation of the hip. ⋯ We can conclude that the standardized arthroscopic surgical technique presented here can also be used to safely perform arthroscopic reduction in toddlers. The new arthroscopic method is an alternative to open reduction for selective hip dislocations. We believe this approach can be used to treat dislocated hips that are classified as grades 2 and 3 dislocations according Tönnis. Early results are promising. Medium-term results are needed to make a definitive statement on the rates of necrosis of the femoral head.

Effects of menarcheal age on the anterior cruciate ligament injury risk factors during single-legged drop landing in female artistic elite gymnasts.
Although numerous studies have demonstrated the relationship between maturation and lower extremity biomechanics during landing in team sport athletes, we are presently uninformed of any research that examined the single-legged drop landing biomechanics of gymnasts. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the menarcheal age on the lower extremity biomechanics during a single-legged drop landing in female artistic elite gymnasts. ⋯ The post-menarche group showed an increased noncontact anterior cruciate ligament injury risk, due to their greater knee loads, compared with the pre-menarche group.

Arthroscopic pubic symphysis debridement and adductor enthesis repair in athletes with athletic pubalgia: technical note and video illustration.
We elaborately describe our novel arthroscopic technique of the symphysis pubis in athletes with osteitis pubis and concomitant adductor enthesopathy who fail to conservative treatment modalities. The symphysis pubis is debrided arthroscopically and the degenerated origin of adductor tendon (enthesis) is excised and reattached. With our surgical procedure the stability of the symphysis pubis is successfully preserved and the adductor longus enthesopathy simultaneously addressed in the same setting.

Comparative StudyAnatomical fit of seven different palmar distal radius plates.
The purpose of this study was to compare the anatomical fit of different, precontoured palmar distal radius plates. ⋯ Although there was no complete congruency between the plates and the radial cortex, all distal palmar radius plates investigated in this study presented a reasonable anatomical shape. The Synthes VA-LCP distal two-column-radius plate palmar showed the best anatomical fit. A low profile and optimized anatomical precontouring minimizes irritation of the surrounding soft tissues and should be considered with plate design and implant choice.
