Factors affecting the outcome of osteochondral autografting (mosaicplasty) in articular cartilage defects of the knee joint: retrospective analysis of 152 cases.
The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the results and prognostic factors affecting the outcome of osteochondral autografting (mosaicplasty) in articular cartilage defects of the knee joint. ⋯ Mosaicplasty is an effective technique for the treatment of articular cartilage defects of the knee joint which restores the joint function in a short period of follow-up. Furthermore, age, lesion size, localization, and concomitant surgical interventions are major factors affecting the final outcome. The final knee score deteriorates as the age of the patient and size of the lesion increases. Furthermore, concomitant surgical interventions and lesions located on the medial femoral condyle have a negative effect on the final knee score.

Intraarticular nodular fasciitis is a rare lesion that has only recently been recognised. We present a case of intraarticular nodular fasciitis of the hip joint in a 25-year-old woman, who presented with a 9-month-history of right groin pain and a decreased range of right hip motion. ⋯ Complete resolution of symptoms and restoration of function was achieved, without recurrence 2 years after removal of the lesion. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of intraarticular nodular fasciitis of the hip, presenting a new indication for arthroscopic treatment.

Plastic cylindrical cement mold in the treatment of long bone metastatic fractures.
Presented here is a simple and practical surgical technique for creating a cement spacer in the cement-metal composite fixation of pathological fractures. This technique has been effectively used in several of our patients for fixation of pathological fractures due to metastatic disease of long bones.

Short and midterm results of reverse shoulder arthroplasty according to the preoperative etiology.
Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) has shown promising results for cuff tear arthropathy but the indication has been extended to fracture sequelae and revision shoulder arthroplasty with different preconditions. Further, the clinical relevance of inferior scapular notching for different etiologies is uncertain. Our hypothesis was that preoperative etiology as well as the occurrence of scapular notching would significantly influence the clinical outcome. ⋯ Level IV, case series, treatment study.

Clinical and radiological follow-up of single-level Prestige LP cervical disc replacement.
To evaluate the clinical outcomes and radiographic results of patients who underwent single-level cervical arthroplasty using the Prestige LP. ⋯ The Prestige LP disc arthroplasty maintains favorable clinical outcomes, preserves the overall cervical alignment, FSU curvature, ROM of treated level and adjacent levels.
