Surgical management by one-stage posterior transforaminal lumbar debridement, interbody fusion, and posterior instrumentation for lumbo-sacral tuberculosis in the aged.
To evaluate the clinical study efficacy and feasibility of 17 aged patients with lumbo-sacral tuberculosis treated by one-stage posterior transforaminal lumbar debridement, interbody fusion, and posterior instrumentation. ⋯ One-stage posterior transforaminal lumbar debridement, interbody fusion, and posterior instrumentation can be an effective treatment method for the treatment of lumbo-sacral tuberculosis in the aged patients.

Effects of the grade, stability, chronological classification and being either unilateral or bilateral of the slip on the treatment by in situ single screw fixation of patients with slipped capital femoral epiphysis.
The effects of the grade, stability, chronological classification and being either unilateral or bilateral of the slip on the outcomes of the treatment by in situ single screw fixation of the Slipped capital femoral epiphysis were investigated. ⋯ The outcomes of the treatment by in situ single screw fixation are negatively affected by increase in the grade of slip, instability of the slip and existence of slip at both hips.

Percutaneous CT-guided radio-frequency ablation of osteoid osteoma of the foot and ankle.
Percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has been considered, in recent years, the standard treatment for osteoid osteoma (OO) of the appendicular skeleton. The variable clinical presentations in the foot and ankle pose problems in diagnosis, localization and thus treatment. The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of RFA for patients with osteoid osteoma of the foot and ankle. ⋯ CT-guided RFA of foot and ankle osteoid osteoma is a safe and effective procedure, showing similar results for the rest of the appendicular skeleton.

Predicting proximal femur rotation by morphological analyses using translucent 3-dimensional computed tomography.
Predicting rotation of proximal femur in femur fracture surgeries is important to prevent malrotation. ⋯ We suggested practical values which might be useful as a reference in the operating room practically and hope that our findings would be helpful to prevent malrotation while performing proximal femur or femur shaft surgeries.

Evaluation of long-term outcomes of pasteurized autografts in limb salvage surgeries for bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
Pasteurized autografts used in limb salvage operations for malignant musculoskeletal tumors have several advantages, including reduced disease transmission, economic efficiency, accessibility, and anatomical conformation. However, their use has been associated with bone absorption, fracture, and pseudarthrosis. Few studies exist which have assessed the long-term outcomes of pasteurized autografts. The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical outcomes of patients treated with pasteurized autografts and to compare these outcomes across various graft types. ⋯ Our findings show that pasteurized bone grafts in combination with vascularized fibular grafts have improved outcomes and potential clinical indications.
