Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyIdentification of cases with adverse neonatal outcome monitored by cardiotocography versus ST analysis: secondary analysis of a randomized trial.
To evaluate whether correct adherence to clinical guidelines might have led to prevention of cases with adverse neonatal outcome. ⋯ In our trial, more strict adherence to clinical guidelines could have led to additional identification and prevention of adverse outcome.

Spinal curvature and characteristics of postural change in pregnant women.
Pregnant women often report complaints due to physiological and postural changes. Postural changes during pregnancy may cause low back pain and pelvic girdle pain. This study aimed to compare the characteristics of postural changes in pregnant compared with non-pregnant women. ⋯ Spinal curvature demonstrated a tendency for lumbar kyphosis in pregnant women. Pregnancy may cause changes in spinal curvature and posture, which may in turn lead to relevant symptoms. Our data provide a basis for investigating the effects of spinal curvature and postural changes on symptoms during pregnancy.

Comparative StudyMaternal left ventricular and endothelial functions in preeclampsia.
To compare maternal left ventricular and endothelial functions in preeclampsia and normal pregnancy, during pregnancy and after delivery. ⋯ The maternal left ventricular function was impaired during preeclampsia but had normalized three months after delivery. The endothelial function, measured by flow-mediated dilation, was impaired in the preeclampsia group as compared with the normal pregnancy group both during pregnancy and three months after delivery.

ReviewEfficacy of tranexamic acid in the treatment of idiopathic and non-functional heavy menstrual bleeding: a systematic review.
To evaluate the efficacy of tranexamic acid in the treatment of idiopathic and non-functional heavy menstrual bleeding. ⋯ Available evidence indicates that tranexamic acid treatment is effective and safe, and could potentially improve quality of life of patients presenting with idiopathic and non-functional heavy menstrual bleeding. Data on the therapeutic efficacy of tranexamic acid in patients with symptomatic fibroids are limited, and further studies are therefore needed.

Comparative StudyTwin births: cesarean section or vaginal delivery?
To assess morbidity and mortality in twin pregnancy deliveries, according to chorionicity and mode of delivery. ⋯ Dichorionic twins born after 36 weeks of gestation had a higher risk of poor outcome by intended vaginal delivery than by planned cesarean section. For MC twins, statistical differences in outcome by mode of delivery could not be seen.
