To comprehensively summarize the characteristics of radiological findings of laryngeal conventional chondrosarcomas. ⋯ In our summary of comprehensive CT and MRI findings of laryngeal conventional chondrosarcomas, we found that the knowledge of these radiological features may facilitate prompt diagnosis and appropriate management.

Fibrosing inflammatory pseudotumor (FIP) of the nasopharynx is a rare nonneoplastic inflammatory lesion that is frequently mistaken for malignancy or infection. It is often misdiagnosed by radiologists as nasopharyngeal carcinoma or lymphoma, resulting in multiple biopsies and delays in diagnosis. The purpose is to understand trends in clinical presentation, imaging findings, treatment modalities, and patient outcomes of nasopharyngeal FIP. ⋯ Nasopharyngeal FIP is a histological diagnosis of exclusion that presents with facial pain and, often, cranial neuropathies. Relatively low T2-weighted MRI signal should inform the interpreting neuroradiologist to include FIP as a differential consideration for both the ordering provider and pathologist. Corticosteroid therapy is the most frequently employed therapy and results in partial or complete response in most patients. Radiation therapy and anti-inflammatory medications have also been reported to have potential therapeutic roles.

Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) is a syndrome characterized by reversible segmental vasoconstriction of cerebral arteries. Digital subtraction and noninvasive angiograms are typically used to detect vasospasm; however, due to the dynamic nature of RCVS these tests are often negative initially and may need to be repeated multiple times. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) offers many advantages as it is a noninvasive and nonradiating modality. Studies investigating its diagnostic utility for capturing vasospasm and studying temporal evolution of RCVS are limited. ⋯ In this case series, we found TCD to be useful in detecting vasospasm and monitoring the temporal evolution of RCVS. TCD could be a helpful clinical tool to diagnose and monitor RCVS.

Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is standard care for patients suffering from an ischemic stroke due to a large vessel occlusion. Immediate and follow-up transcranial ultrasound examinations after MT were shown to have a diagnostic benefit. However, it is unclear whether repeated extracranial ultrasound after MT has an additional diagnostic yield, that is, depicts new findings. ⋯ Although sonographic normalization of pathologic findings was observed, pathologic new findings were not detected during follow-up. This study provides first data for a discussion of the role of ultrasound in a structured stroke care after MT. However, larger studies are required to improve the understanding.

Autonomic dysfunction is common in transthyretin familial amyloid polyneuropathy (TTR-FAP). Because ultrasonography is a powerful tool to study peripheral neuropathy, vagus nerve (VN) ultrasonography was used in our study to investigate the possible changes of the dimension of VN in TTR-FAP. ⋯ VN enlargement is prevalent among TTR-FAP patients. VN ultrasonography may be an important clinical tool for assessing the severity of autonomic dysfunction in TTR-FAP.
