Correlation of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI perfusion parameters with angiogenesis and biologic aggressiveness of rectal cancer: Preliminary results.
To investigate whether quantitative parameters derived from dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) are correlated with angiogenesis and biologic aggressiveness of rectal cancer. ⋯ These preliminary results suggest that the determination of kep of high K(trans) area permits the noninvasive estimation of tumor angiogenesis in rectal cancer and that DCE-MRI parameters can be used as imaging biomarkers to predict the biologic aggressiveness of the tumor and patient prognosis.

Hepatocellular carcinoma: short-term reproducibility of apparent diffusion coefficient and intravoxel incoherent motion parameters at 3.0T.
To evaluate short-term test-retest and interobserver reproducibility of IVIM (intravoxel incoherent motion) diffusion parameters and ADC (apparent diffusion coefficient) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver parenchyma at 3.0T. ⋯ Poor reproducibility of D*/PF and good reproducibility for D/ADC were observed in HCC and liver parenchyma. These findings may have implications for trials using DWI in HCC.

Correlation of apparent diffusion coefficient value with prognostic parameters of endometrioid carcinoma.
To correlate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of endometrioid carcinoma with histological tumor grade and degree of myometrial invasion. ⋯ The minimum ADC correlates with prognostic parameters of endometrial carcinoma more strongly than mean ADC. Lower minimum ADC is associated with higher histological tumor grade and higher degree of myometrial invasion.

Implementation of two-dimensional L-COSY at 7 Tesla: an investigation of reproducibility in human brain.
To evaluate the utility of two-dimensional (2D) Localized Correlated Spectroscopy (L-COSY) in metabolic profiling of the human brain at 7 Tesla (T). ⋯ 2D L-COSY at 7 T demonstrated improved sensitivity in detecting additional metabolites with reliability comparable to established techniques at lower fields, which may aid in the metabolic assessment of diseased states.

Comparative Study Controlled Clinical TrialQuantification of cerebral blood flow in healthy volunteers and type 1 diabetic patients: comparison of MRI arterial spin labeling and [(15)O]H2O positron emission tomography (PET).
To compare cerebral blood flow (CBF) values measured using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) arterial spin labeling (ASL) with those obtained with [(15)O]H2O positron emission tomography (PET), the gold standard for measuring CBF in vivo. ⋯ PCASL provides CBF values that correlate with [(15)O]H2O PET-derived values, but is less accurate. PCASL may be an attractive alternative when absolute quantification is not needed.
