Comparative StudyMeasurement of apparent diffusion coefficient with simultaneous MR/positron emission tomography in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis: comparison with 18F-FDG-PET.
To characterize peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) of different histologically proven primary tumors based on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and (18) F-FDG positron emission tomography (PET). ⋯ PC lesions showed significant differences in glucose uptake and diffusion characteristics depending on primary tumor histology. These differences should be considered when interpreting FDG-PET and DWI in PC patients.

Contrast enrichment of spinal cord MR imaging using a ratio of T1-weighted and T2-weighted signals.
We aimed to assess if the T1-weighted (T1w)/T2-weighted (T2w) signal ratio could be used to improve image contrast in MR spinal cord imaging. ⋯ The T1w/T2w ratio images demonstrated increased image contrast compared with T1w and T2w images alone and, reduced inter-individual signal intensity differences.

Response to chemotherapy in gastric adenocarcinoma with diffusion-weighted MRI and (18) F-FDG-PET/CT: correlation of apparent diffusion coefficient and partial volume corrected standardized uptake value with histological tumor regression grade.
To assess whether changes in diffusion-weighted MRI (DW-MRI) and (18) F-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography ((18) F-FDG PET/CT), correlate with treatment response to neoadjuvant therapy (NT), as expressed by tumor regression grade (TRG), from locally advanced gastric adenocarcinoma (GA). ⋯ DW-MRI seems more accurate than (18) F-FDG-PET/CT and ADC modifications may represent a reproducible tool to assess tumor response for GA.

Aqueductal cerebrospinal fluid pulsatility in healthy individuals is affected by impaired cerebral venous outflow.
To investigate cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics in the aqueduct of Sylvius (AoS) in chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI)-positive and -negative healthy individuals using cine phase contrast imaging. ⋯ CSF dynamics are altered in CCSVI-positive healthy individuals, as demonstrated by increased pulsatility. This is accompanied by enlargement of the AoS, suggesting that structural changes may be occurring in the brain parenchyma of CCSVI-positive healthy individuals.

Intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted MRI at 3.0 T differentiates malignant breast lesions from benign lesions and breast parenchyma.
To study the differentiation of malignant breast lesions from benign lesions and fibroglandular tissue (FGT) using apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) parameters. ⋯ The IVIM parameters provide accurate identification of malignant lesions.
