Randomized Controlled TrialDelayed gadolinium-enhanced MRI of menisci and cartilage (dGEMRIM/dGEMRIC) in obese patients with knee osteoarthritis: Cross-sectional study of 85 obese patients with intra-articular administered gadolinium contrast.
Early cartilage changes in knee osteoarthritis (OA) can be assessed by both intravenous (i.v.) and intra-articular (i.a.) delayed gadolinium-enhanced MRI of cartilage (dGEMRIC). ⋯ 3 Technical Efficacy: Stage 3 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2018;48:1700-1706.

Randomized Controlled TrialProstate cancer detection using quantitative T2 and T2 -weighted imaging: The effects of 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors in men on active surveillance.
T2 -weighted imaging (T2 -WI) information has been used in a qualitative manner in the assessment of prostate cancer. Quantitative derivatives (T2 relaxation time) can be generated from T2 -WI. These outputs may be useful in helping to discriminate clinically significant prostate cancer from background signal. ⋯ 4 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2018;47:1646-1653.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyA multicenter, randomized, controlled, single-blind comparison phase III study to determine the efficacy and safety of gadobutrol 1.0 M versus gadopentetate dimeglumine following single injection in patients referred for contrast-enhanced MRI of the body regions or extremities.
To demonstrate the noninferiority of gadobutrol-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compared with gadopentetate dimeglumine-enhanced MRI in Asian patients referred for contrast-enhanced imaging of the body or extremities. ⋯ Gadobutrol (0.1 mmol/kg BW) was well tolerated and effective in Asian patients referred for contrast-enhanced MRI of the body or extremities.

Randomized Controlled TrialFully automated tool to identify the aorta and compute flow using phase-contrast MRI: validation and application in a large population based study.
To assess if fully automated localization of the aorta can be achieved using phase contrast (PC) MR images. ⋯ A robust fully automated tool to localize the aorta and provide flow volume measurements on phase contrast MRI was validated on a large population-based study.
