Clinical TrialMRI-guided celiac plexus neurolysis for pancreatic cancer pain: Efficacy and safety.
To prospectively determine the efficacy and safety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided celiac plexus neurolysis (CPN) for pancreatic cancer pain. ⋯ MRI-guided CPN appears to be an effective and minimally invasive procedure for palliative pain management of pancreatic cancer. J. MAGN. RESON. IMAGING 2016;44:923-928.

Intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma: Is there a correlation with flow and perfusion metrics obtained with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI?
To assess the correlation between intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging (IVIM-DWI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) metrics in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver parenchyma. ⋯ IVIM-DWI and DCE-MRI provide nonredundant information in HCC, while they correlate in liver parenchyma. These findings may be secondary to predominant portal inflow in the liver and tortuous vasculature and tissue heterogeneity in tumors. J. MAGN. RESON. IMAGING 2016;44:856-864.

Improved cerebrospinal fluid suppression for intracranial vessel wall MRI.
To develop and assess a three-dimensional (3D) high resolution black blood MRI (BBMRI) method for evaluation of intracranial vessels with improved cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suppression. ⋯ The 3D ADE-BBMRI provides excellent blood and CSF suppression, and accurate measurements of intracranial vessels at 0.5 mm isotropic resolution in 5 min. Its clinical application may provide insight into stroke risk. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:665-672.

In vivo imaging of the spectral line broadening of the human lung in a single breathhold.
To present a technique, which allows for the in vivo quantification of the spectral line broadening of the human lung in a single breathhold. The line broadening is an interesting parameter of the lung because it can provide information about important lung properties, namely: inflation and oxygen uptake. The proposed technique integrates the asymmetric spin-echo (ASE) approach, which is commonly used to quantify the line broadening, with a single shot turbo spin-echo pulse sequence with half-Fourier acquisition (HASTE), to reduce the acquisition times. ⋯ The presented technique offers a robust way to quantify the spectral line broadening of the human lung in vivo. Image acquisition can be accomplished in a single breathhold, which could be suitable for clinical applications on patients with lung diseases. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:745-757.

Value of preoperative 3T multiparametric MRI for surgical margin status in patients with prostate cancer.
To examine the value of preoperative multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a predictor of surgical margin (SM) status in patients with prostate cancer (PC). ⋯ PC with positive SM was characterized by tumor extension in the apical and proximal regions, lower tumor ADC, and tumors with positive MRI findings of ECE, compared to tumors with negative SM. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:584-593.
