The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the adoption of drastic changes in primary care, modifying the organization and work dynamics previously established. From one day to the next, professionals had to adapt to the new situation to be able to attend cases and contacts tracing, to avoid contagion and to maintain attention to other health problems. ⋯ We present the main organizational changes in the first level of care and describe, from the point of view of patient safety and the consequences for patients and professionals of the priority care for COVID-19. Finally, we consider how to incorporate the knowledge acquired during the pandemic, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the adopted measures to maintain as much as possible a safe, accessible and quality primary care.

[Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) from the perspective of Primary Care. Epidemiology and clinical-care characteristics].
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a rare disease in primary care (PC), it represents a challenge for the family doctor, especially in home care. ⋯ The use of percutaneous gastrostomy in ALS favors the identification as CCP or with palliative needs and inclusion in PAD. The use of non-invasive ventilation favors inclusion in PAD. The incidence and prevalence data for ALS are higher than those described above in the same area. Early identification is necessary of these patients in the chronic care models in PC teams.

Characterize the current situation of the demand manager physician (DMP) in primary health care (PHC), from the perceptions of those who fulfill this role, their medical peers and the directors of the family health centers (CESFAMs). ⋯ Standardizing the functions of the DMP is a necessary element for its consolidation and achieving the objectives of maintaining continuity of care in the population.

To evaluate the impact of the changes introduced in response to the pandemic on patient-reported patient safety in Primary Care. ⋯ During the pandemic, a perceptible worsening in patient safety perceived by patients treated in Primary Care has been observed, which has differentially affected patients according to their sociodemographic characteristics or health center profiles.

[Prevalence and associated factors of frailty in adults over 70 years in the community].
To estimate the prevalence and analyze the factors associated with frailty syndrome, in adults ≥70 years old, belonging to a health center in Asturias. ⋯ Frailty is a multifactorial syndrome, with a high prevalence in those over 70 years of age, in which, in addition to Fried's criteria of frailty, aspects of health, functional, cognitive-affective and social status must be analyzed.
