To know the factors associated with an unfavorable evolution (UE) of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 with total or partial follow-up in primary care. ⋯ 14.9% of the patients diagnosed with COVID-19 presented an UE. Older age, male sex and being a smoker or former smoker increased the probability of it. Altered consciousness, dyspnea, expectoration, and asthenia were the clinical data that best predicted UE.

Population aging is associated with a greater use of social and health resources, associated with greater morbidity, mortality and disability in the elderly. Frailty is a geriatric syndrome prior to the onset of functional decline, which allows the identification of individuals at higher risk of dependency, institutionalization, adverse effects of drugs, mortality and other negative health events. ⋯ Follow-up requires the multidimensional and coordinated intervention of different health and social professionals, with the involvement of the patient and their family. Research should be encouraged to determine the most effective interventions and the most common clinical courses.

To know the influence of the companion in triadic clinical encounter on the quality of doctor-patient communication and the duration of the interview. ⋯ Triadic communications challenge the clinician's communication skills, improving their abilities to identify and understand patient problems, albeit at the cost of a greater investment of time.
