To evaluate whether the initial chest X-ray (CXR) severity assessed by an AI system may have prognostic utility in patients with COVID-19. ⋯ AI- and radiologist-assessed disease severity scores on CXRs obtained on ED presentation were independent and comparable predictors of adverse outcomes in patients with COVID-19.

To compare the value of amide proton transfer-weighted imaging (APTWI) and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) in differentiating benign and malignant breast lesions and analyze the correlations between the derived parameters and prognostic factors of breast cancer. ⋯ • DKI and APTWI provide valuable information regarding lesion characterization. • Kapp, Dapp, and MTRasym (3.5 ppm) are valid parameters for the characterization of tissue microstructure. • DKI is superior to APTWI in the study of breast cancer.

We aimed to compare the efficiency of prostate cancer (PCa) detection using a radiomics signature based on advanced zoomed diffusion-weighted imaging and conventional full-field-of-view DWI. ⋯ • Advanced zoomed DWI technology can improve the diagnostic accuracy of radiomics signatures for PCa. • Radiomics signatures based on z-calDWIb2000 have the best diagnostic performance among individual imaging modalities. • Compared with the independent clinical risk factors and the mp-MRI model, the mixed model has the best diagnostic efficiency.
