Review Case ReportsTakotsubo cardiomyopathy: a case report and literature review.
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, "broken heart syndrome", is a well-known diagnosis in adults; however, this entity remains rare and is not well represented in the paediatric population. This report illustrates a case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy in a premature neonate with a brief discussion of the condition.

Point-of-care pleural and lung ultrasound in a newborn suffering from cardiac arrest due to tension pneumothorax after cardiac surgery.
We report the case of a 12-day-old newborn affected by coarctation of the aorta and intraventricular defect who underwent coarctectomy and pulmonary artery banding. On post-operative day 7, the patient suffered from pulseless electric activity due to tension pneumothorax. Point-of-care ultrasound was performed during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in an attempt to diagnose pneumothorax. The diagnosis was made without delaying or interrupting chest compressions, and the pneumothorax was promptly treated.

Observational StudyResults of remote follow-up and monitoring in young patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices.
Remote monitoring is increasingly used in the follow-up of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. Data on paediatric populations are still lacking. The aim of our study was to follow-up young patients both in-hospital and remotely to enhance device surveillance. ⋯ Remote follow-up/monitoring with the CareLink system is useful to enhance device surveillance in young patients. The majority of events were not clinically relevant, and the remaining led to timely management of problems.

Multicenter StudyPerioperative feeding management of neonates with CHD: analysis of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4) registry.
Introduction The optimal perioperative feeding strategies for neonates with CHD are unknown. In the present study, we describe the current feeding practices across a multi-institutional cohort. ⋯ In this cohort, neonatal feeding practices and outcomes appear to vary across diagnostic groups and institutions. Only half of the patients received preoperative enteral nutrition; almost half had discharge feeding tubes. Multi-institutional collaboration is necessary to determine feeding strategies associated with best clinical outcomes.
