Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyInfluence of uterine exteriorization versus in situ repair on post-Cesarean maternal pain: a randomized trial.
This study was done to compare post-cesarean delivery pain associated with routine exteriorization of the uterus versus in situ uterine repair in the puerperium. ⋯ Exteriorization of the uterus for repair of the uterine incision increases the first- and second-night postoperative pain significantly in women undergoing cesarean section.

Case ReportsCaesarean section using total intravenous anaesthesia in a patient with Ebstein's anomaly complicated by supraventricular tachycardia.
Ebstein's anomaly is a rare congenital cardiac defect associated with both displacement and incompetence of the tricuspid valve. The condition is commonly complicated by supraventricular tachycardias. We describe the management of a patient with this condition undergoing caesarean section. Propofol and remifentanil total intravenous anaesthesia resulted in haemodynamic stability and delivery of a healthy baby who breathed spontaneously after two minutes.

Case ReportsComplications of neuraxial anesthesia in an extreme morbidly obese patient for Cesarean section.
A morbidly obese patient presented for elective cesarean section. This case demonstrates the technical difficulties and potentially life-threatening complications encountered in attempting to locate an epidural space at a distance of over 11 cm from the skin. Ultrasound was used to aid in locating the space. The resources required and the logistical problems that impact on staff members in managing a morbidly obese patient presenting for cesarean section are also highlighted.

Case ReportsUncorrected total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage in pregnancy.
Total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage is a rare form of congenital heart disease. It usually presents in the neonatal period, although later presentation, including in adulthood, is known to occur. We could not find any accounts of adult survivors with the undiagnosed disease becoming pregnant. ⋯ She underwent corrective cardiac surgery 14 months after delivery. To our knowledge, this is the first report of caesarean section in a patient with uncorrected total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage. In this case, regional anaesthesia was successfully used.
