Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudySquatting versus squatting with hip adduction in management of patellofemoral osteoarthritis: A randomized controlled trial.
Patellofemoral osteoarthritis is a common presentation in the outpatients' physical therapy clinics. The muscle imbalance between the vastus medialis oblique and vastus lateralis muscles is one of the main factors that lead to the development of this condition. ⋯ Both a traditional physical therapy program in addition to squatting exercise and a traditional physical therapy program in addition to squatting exercise with hip adduction are effective in reduction of pain intensity increases performance of functional activities, and vastus medialis oblique amplitude. However, there is no superiority of one program over the other.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffect of repeated application of rigid tape on pain and mobility deficits associated with sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
Sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD) accounts for up to 30% of patients with low back pain. Rigid taping techniques are often used for conservative treatment of SIJD related symptoms; however, its effectiveness has not been systematically evaluated. ⋯ Two weeks of rigid tape for anterior innominate correction successfully reduced symptoms related to SIJD.

Randomized Controlled TrialThe effect of Mulligan mobilization on pain and life quality of patients with Rotator cuff syndrome: A randomized controlled trial.
Mulligan mobilization techniques cause pain and affect the function in patients with Rotator cuff syndrome. ⋯ Mulligan mobilization was more effective than general treatment methods for pain as well as normal joint motion, DASH scoring and some parameters of SF-36 compared with general treatment methods.

Randomized Controlled TrialThe effect of dry needling on the active trigger point of upper trapezius muscle: Eliciting local twitch response on long-term clinical outcomes.
Pain from myofascial trigger points is often treated by dry needling (DN). Empirical evidence suggests eliciting a local twitch response (LTR) during needling is essential. Muscle damage after eliciting LTR can increase the risk of tissue fibrosis in some cases. ⋯ DN without eliciting LTR has superiority over the DN along with eliciting LTR while the treatment aimed to receive long-term effects.

Psychological and physical factors related to disability in chronic low back pain.
Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is a public health problem that causes high levels of disability. Psychological and physical factors could play a critical role in the disability perception of patients. ⋯ The results of this study highlight the relevance of psychological and physical factors in CLBP patient disability. Evaluation and treatment in CLBP patients should take these factors into account.
