Echocardiographic Findings of Malignant Lymphoma with Cardiac Involvement: A Single-center Retrospective Observational Study.
Objective Although malignant lymphoma (ML) can occur in every organ, diagnosing cardiac involvement without cardiac manifestations is difficult. We therefore investigated the incidence of cardiac involvement in ML in our hospital and clarified the transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) findings of cardiac involvement. Methods Patients with ML referred to our hospital between January 2013 and December 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. ⋯ B-cell lymphoma, especially DLBCL, is a common ML with cardiac involvement. Although five patients had pericardial effusion, the involved lesions of the heart were not uniform. TTE is a useful imaging modality to noninvasively and repeatedly evaluate the tumor characteristics, response to ML treatment, and cardiac function.

Dural Arteriovenous Fistula Mimicking Acute Encephalitis: A Case Report.
We herein report a case of acute neurological symptoms and a fever initially suspected of being encephalitis but later revealed to be dural arteriovenous fistula (dAVF). An 84-year-old woman had a fever and cerebral edema and was initially treated for encephalitis. ⋯ The present case showed that dAVF can also present with an acute onset and a fever, mimicking acute encephalitis. Because the treatments for encephalitis and dAVF differ greatly, the possibility of dAVF should also be considered when diagnosing encephalitis.

A Rare Case of a Common Inferior Pulmonary Vein Presumed to be a Remnant of the Common Pulmonary Vein.
A 74-year-old woman with an implanted physiological DDD pacemaker visited our department complaining of palpitations due to atrial fibrillation (AF). Catheter ablation therapy for AF was scheduled. ⋯ We performed left and right superior PV and posterior wall isolation. After ablation, AF was not observed on pacemaker recordings.

A Clinical Diagnosis of Laminopathy without Systolic Dysfunction: When does Nuclei Malformation Start?
Nuclear shape abnormalities in laminopathy are well known to occur in patients with cardiac systolic dysfunction. However, those in patients without systolic dysfunction are still unclear. We herein report a 42-year-old man who presented with advanced atrioventricular block without systolic dysfunction. ⋯ The hyperperfine structure on electron microscopy showed malformation of the nuclei, euchromatic nucleoplasm, and partial existence of heterochromatin clumps. Intrusion of heterochromatin into the nuclear fibrous lamina was observed. Cardiomyocyte nuclear shape abnormalities were observed before the progression of systolic dysfunction.

A Case of Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome Type 3 Complicated with IgG4-related Disease.
A 52-year-old Japanese woman developed type 1 diabetes mellitus (type 1 DM) at 41 years old. She became complicated with Hashimoto's disease and showed swelling of both submandibular glands, which was diagnosed as IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD). ⋯ Bilateral submandibular gland resection was successfully performed without steroid therapy. We discuss the possibility that the immunological pathogenic mechanisms of APS-3A and IgG4-RD are related.
