To obtain qualitative information on fears and anxieties of coronary artery bypass grafting patients with short waiting periods (up to a maximum of four weeks) before surgery. ⋯ The detailed insight into the emotional experiences of patients with a short waiting time before coronary artery bypass grafting surgery is a basis for targeted anxiety-reducing interventions.

Adopting a patient-centred approach: an investigation into the introduction of bedside handover to three rural hospitals.
To study empirically the process and outcomes of the implementation of nurse-to-nurse bedside handover in three rural South Australian hospitals. ⋯ This study generates further knowledge about rural nursing and contributes insight into the importance of handover implementation method--areas that are not widely documented in existing literature.

To identify the changes and associated factors in decisional conflict and regret in patients with localised prostate cancer up to six months postprimary treatment. ⋯ Nurses and healthcare providers must provide localised prostate cancer patients with adequate information and psychosocial intervention to reduce decisional conflict.

This helps improve outcomes of interventions. Patients are willing and able if supported to increase independence and maintain self-help.
