This study aims to analyze the association of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with endothelial function and heart structure in patients with hypertension and lay a clinical foundation for preventing and treating endothelial dysfunction and heart remodeling in patients with hypertension. ⋯ OSA was associated with endothelial dysfunction and heart remodeling in patients with hypertension. Endothelial dysfunction may be crucial for the development of heart remodeling in patients with hypertension with OSA.

Thyroid carcinoma (THCA) is a common malignancy of the endocrine system. Further understanding of the molecular mechanism underlying THCA is crucial to develop effective diagnostic therapy and improve its treatments. In this study, we intended to provide novel direction for THCA targeted therapy from the aspect of lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA interaction. We aimed to investigate the function and molecular mechanism of lncRNA ATP1A1-AS1 in THCA. ⋯ LncRNA ATP1A1-AS1 inhibited cell growth and promotes apoptosis in THCA via the miR-620/IRF2BP2 axis.

Eosinophil count, dyslipidemia, and metabolic syndrome (MetS) are associated with systemic inflammation. We conducted this large population-based study to investigate the association between elevated eosinophil count, serum lipids, and MetS in the Taiwanese population. ⋯ High eosinophil count is an independent risk factor for MetS. Hypertriglyceridemia and hypo-HDL-cholesterolemia might partly contribute to this result.
