Review Case Reports
Solitary bone cyst of a lumbar vertebra treated with percutaneous steroid injection: a case report and review of literature.
We describe a rare case of solitary bone cyst involving the vertebral body of L4. ⋯ Herein, we reported an extremely rare case of solitary bone cyst involving the body of the fourth lumbar vertebra. Local steroid injection should be considered as a minimally invasive intervention for a solitary bone cyst involving the spinal column with no evidence of thinned cortex or pathological fracture.

Deformities of the cervical spine are uncommon in the coronal plane. In this report, a unique case of a 31-year-old male with a fixed, 30° left coronal deformity due to heterotopic ossification 3 years status post poly-trauma was treated with an asymmetric C7 pedicle subtraction osteotomy (PSO). ⋯ In this one patient, an asymmetric C7 PSO was performed safely. While it was effective in addressing a fixed cervical coronal imbalance, its efficacy and safety profile should be confirmed in larger cohorts.

Congenital double-level cervical spondylolysis: a case report and review of the literature.
We report a rare Japanese female who was affected with three genetic-linked diseases: double-level cervical bilateral spondylolysis in association with spina bifida occulta, cleft lip and monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the right proximal femur. The case was considered to be congenital in origin. We also review the pertinent literature of cervical spondylolysis, with a focus on the pathogenesis of multiple-level cervical spondylolysis. ⋯ This case is a rare presentation of bilateral cervical spondylolysis involving C4 and C5, presumably congenital, accompanied by combined dysplastic changes of the cervical spine, cleft lip, and fibrous dysplasia, possibly through an error involving an ossification center during the embryonic stage.

The objective of this study is to report the progression of congenital hyperlordoscoliosis in a 2-year-old patient and the use of multiple surgical interventions in the treatment of hyperlordoscoliosis of the thoracic spine. ⋯ PMVO is a potential intervention to manage rigid and severe congenital lordoscoliosis of the thoracic spine.

Review Case Reports
A case report of atypical long segmental thoracic hypertrophic pachymeningitis with ossification of ligamentum flavum and literature review.
Thoracic spinal stenosis caused by ossification of ligamentum flavum (OLF) is frequently seen, but long segmental thoracic spinal cord compressed by consequent thickened ligament posteriorly was rarely reported. ⋯ HP is a rare condition characterized as thickening and enhancement of the dura mater on contrast-enhanced MRI and chronic inflammatory hyperplasia changes on biopsy. A case of atypical HP complicated with OLF is described. Chondrocytes infiltration in histological examination indicates the potential of ossification in HP.
