To report the accuracy and reliability of Cobb angle (CA), axial vertebral rotation (AVR), kyphotic and lordotic angles (KA and LA) measurements on using a new 3D ultrasound (US) system. ⋯ The new 3D US system showed good reliability and accuracy for CA, AVR and KA measurements, but a large measurement discrepancy on LA. A new measurement method for US LA may need to investigate.

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of trauma etiology on the management, functional outcomes and psychiatric characteristics of suicide jumpers and patients who accidentally fall from height. ⋯ Psychiatric disorders are more common in patients in the suicidal jumpers. The presence of underlying psychiatric problems adversely affects the postoperative functional outcomes of patients with surgically treated spinal fractures. A multidisciplinary approach together with raising awareness in this way can improve the clinical outcomes after orthopedic treatment, even if there is physical disability.

The Femoro-Sacral Posterior Angle (FSPA) system and the pelvic incidence (PI) system are utilized for measuring sagittal spino-pelvic morphology in patients with high-dysplastic developmental spondylolisthesis (HDDS). This study aimed to analyze the accuracy and stability of these two systems. ⋯ Compared with the PI system, the FSPA system demonstrated higher accuracy in evaluating spino-pelvic morphology in HDDS patients. Moreover, it exhibited higher ICC values, indicating higher inter-observer reliability, thus serving as an effective method for assessing spino-pelvic morphology in HDDS patients.

To investigate the clinical application of zonally magnified oblique multislice (ZOOM) imaging technology in patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) and compare it with T2WI imaging. ⋯ The ADC value of spinal cord obtained by small-field ZOOM-DWI can be used to evaluate neurological dysfunction in DCM, and is superior to traditional T2WI.

Previous work comparing ASD to a normative population demonstrated that a large proportion of lumbar lordosis is lost proximally (L1-L4). The current study expands on these findings by collectively investigating regional angles and spinal contours. ⋯ As LL loss increases, the difference between ASD and normative shapes first occurs proximally and then progresses incrementally caudally. Understanding spinal contour and LL loss location may be key to achieving sustainable correction by identifying optimal and personalized postoperative shapes.
