To examine the mediating effect of professional self-concept on the association between perceived organisational support and burnout among community health nurses in Chengdu, China. ⋯ Strategies such as establishing a supportive work environment and professional competence training may be effective methods for burnout prevention and management among community health nurses.

This project's purpose was to promote and sustain a practice change focusing on delirium utilising the clinical nurse specialist (CNS) in a leadership role. ⋯ In addition to leadership, CNS availability on the patient care units is imperative to staff acceptance and sustainability of a practice change.

To establish an explanatory model of registered nurses' attitudes towards older people and working with older patients. ⋯ Our findings highlight the importance of investing in continuing education related to gerontological nursing and the ageing process so that there is a growing pool of registered nurses who wish to care for older patients.

To explore intra-professional collaboration amongst nursing leadership teams at a tertiary referral hospital in Sydney. ⋯ To date, little research has explored collaboration amongst nursing leadership teams. Successful collaboration may contribute to the efficient use of nursing resources; improve patient outcomes, and ultimately, nurse satisfaction and retention.

In this commentary, implications of age discrimination are presented to generate an agenda for action in nursing management. ⋯ Nurse managers possess the power to enact an agenda for combating ageism in health care and nursing.
