Discoid lateral meniscus can be overlooked by magnetic resonance imaging in patients with meniscal tears.
MRI evaluation of torn lateral meniscus was compared with arthroscopy. This study calculates the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of MRI in determining the presence or absence of discoid lateral meniscus (DLM) for different tear types. ⋯ Level I.

ReviewMeasurement properties of the most commonly used Foot- and Ankle-Specific Questionnaires: the FFI, FAOS and FAAM. A systematic review.
In the foot and ankle literature, a wide range of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) is used, however, consensus as to which PROMs are preferred is lacking. Selection of a PROM is among other reasons, often based on measurement properties without considering the methodological quality of the studies that evaluate these measurement properties. The aim of current study was first to identify the most frequently used foot and ankle-specific PROMs in recent orthopaedic foot and ankle literature, and second to conduct a systematic review to synthesize and critically appraise the measurement properties of these PROMS. ⋯ I.

No implant migration and good subjective outcome of a novel customized femoral resurfacing metal implant for focal chondral lesions.
Managing focal cartilage injuries in the middle-aged patient poses a challenge. Focal prosthetic inlay resurfacing has been proposed to be a bridge between biologics and conventional joint arthroplasty. Patient selection and accurate implant positioning is crucial to avoid increased contact pressure to the opposite cartilage surface. A customized femoral condyle implant for focal cartilage injuries was designed to precisely fit each patient's individual size and location of damage. The primary objective was to assess implant safety profile, surgical usability of the implant and instruments, and implant migration with radiostereometric analysis (RSA). ⋯ Prospective case series, Level 4.

Randomized Controlled TrialNo beneficial effect of Polidocanol treatment in Achilles tendinopathy: a randomised controlled trial.
Polidocanol injections have been used to treat chronic Achilles tendinopathy in clinical settings, but the few studies published show inconsistent results. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mid-term effect of Polidocanol in patients with chronic Achilles tendinopathy. It was hypothesised that patients treated with Polidocanol would have significant improvements in the outcome measures investigated compared to patients treated with a placebo treatment at mid-term follow-up. ⋯ I.
