Comparative StudyAnatomical "C"-shaped double-bundle versus single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in pre-adolescent children with open growth plates.
To analyse the clinical, rotational and radiological (MRI) results of paediatric anatomical "C-shaped" double-bundle (DB) anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction with anteromedial and posteromedial bundle compared to single-bundle (SB) ACL reconstruction. ⋯ IV.

Comparative StudyA comparison of revision and rerupture rates of ACL reconstruction between autografts and allografts in the skeletally immature.
Anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions (ACLRs) in skeletally immature patients are increasing. The purpose of this study is to describe the demographics, graft usage, revision, and re-operation rates in skeletally immature ACLRs in the Kaiser Permanente healthcare system. ⋯ III.

Clinical outcome after reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament in paediatric patients with recurrent patella instability.
Medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction has recently been broadly accepted as primary surgical treatment in adults. Reconstruction techniques with osseous fixation in femur cannot be used for patients with open growth plates. Operative treatment of patella instability in children therefore is a challenge and requires alternative MPFL reconstruction techniques. Limited knowledge exists concerning outcome after MPFL reconstruction in children and adolescents. This study present clinical outcome in a consecutive single clinic series of children treated with paediatric MPFL reconstruction using a soft tissue femoral fixation technique. ⋯ Case-Control study, Level III.

Biography Historical ArticleThe Bristow-Latarjet procedure, a historical note on a technique in comeback.
The Bristow-Latarjet procedure is a well-known surgical technique designed to treat shoulder instability. In this procedure, the coracoid process is transferred to the glenoid rim, to serve as augmentation of an associated bony defect. ⋯ The aim of this study is to provide a historical overview, with emphasis on the original inventors Bristow and Latarjet, the complications and following modifications regarding the surgical approach, the coracoid transfer and the arthroscopic technique.
