Asreported by the World Health Organization, a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was identified as the causative virus of new viral pneumonia of unknown etiology by Chinese authorities on 7 January 2020. The virus was named COVID-19 and because of its ability to cause severe acute respiratory syndrome (i.e., SARS) this infection has also been defined as SARS-CoV2. Furthermore, an association between COVID-19 infection and venous thromboembolism has been reported in several series around the world. For this reason, methods used to improve diagnostic tools, pharmacological thromboprophylaxis and type of anticoagulants are discussed in this expert opinion.

Background and objectives: Surgery is the primary and most effective treatment of breast cancer. Unilateral mastectomy disrupts the distribution of muscle tension between the right and the left sides of the body. The aim of the study was to evaluate postural balance in patients treated for breast cancer by mastectomy. ⋯ The following balance parameters were analyzed: path length, statokinesigram area, parameters of deflection and velocity of the foot pressure center. Results: The study demonstrated that patients from BG (5-6 years after surgery) obtained worse results in both tests with open (maximum back deviation, maximum forward deviation, average Y deviation, average Y velocity, path length and path surface area) (p < 0.05) as well as with closed eyes (maximum backward deviation, maximum forward deviation, mean Y deviation and path length) (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that women 5-6 years after surgery for breast cancer have impaired balance compared to healthy women, despite physiotherapy.

Background: Pain, a distinctive undesirable experience, encompasses several different and fluctuating presentations across varying mood disorders. Therefore, the present narrative review aimed to shed further light on the matter, accounting for both experimental animal models and clinical observations about major depressive disorder (MDD) pathology. Method: Major databases were inquired from inception until April 2016 for records about MDD and pain. ⋯ Prevalence rates and clinical features associated with pain varied across different studies as corresponding operational definitions did. Conclusions: Pain may have a detrimental effect on the course of mood disorders-the opposite holds. Promoting a timely recognition and management of such an often neglected comorbidity would therefore represent a primary goal toward the delivery of effective, multi-disciplinary care.

Case Reports
Severe Case of Delayed Replantation of Avulsed Permanent Central Incisor: A Case Report with Four-Year Follow-Up.
Avulsion is one of the most serious dental traumatic injuries with a reserved prognosis. This case report describes multiple trauma lesions in permanent central incisors of an eight-year-old girl and a four-year follow-up. ⋯ The present case adds to the literature a rare occurrence of success in a severe case with poor prognosis. For this reason, the International Association for Dental Traumatology (IADT) guidelines should be followed and, even in extreme situations, replantation should always be considered.

Background and objectives: Hyperuricemia is one of the well-known cardiovascular risk factors. There is a growing interest in the association between hyperuricemia and arrhythmia. We used the representative sample data of Korean population to study the association between hyperuricemia and heart rate irregularity (HRI) that reflects total arrhythmia. ⋯ Hyperuricemia was associated with a nearly tripled risk for HRI. Hypertension has a synergistic effect with hyperuricemia on HRI. Further research is warranted to clarify the relationship between hyperuricemia and arrhythmia and its mechanism.
