Background and Objectives: Since spontaneous uterine rupture in the mid-trimester is rare, maternal and fetal outcomes in subsequent pregnancies remain unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the maternal and fetal outcomes of subsequent pregnancies after prior mid-trimester uterine rupture. Materials and Methods: A systematic review using PubMed, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Scopus until 30 September 2021, was conducted in compliance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. ⋯ Fetal outcomes were feasible, except for one pregnancy with recurrent mid-trimester uterine rupture at 23 weeks of gestation, whose fetus was alive complicated by cerebral palsy. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that clinicians should be aware of the possibility of PAS and possible uterine rupture in pregnancies after prior mid-trimester uterine rupture. Further case studies are warranted to assess maternal and fetal outcomes in pregnancies following prior mid-trimester prior uterine rupture.

We used virtual navigator real-time ultrasound (US) fusion imaging with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) to identify a lesion that could not be detected on the US alone in a preoperative breast cancer patient. Of the patient's two lesions of breast cancer, the calcified lesion could not be identified by US alone. By fusing US with 18F-FDG PET/CT, which had been performed in advance, the location of the lesion could be estimated and marked, which benefited planning an appropriate surgery. The fusion of US and 18F-FDG PET/CT was a simple and noninvasive method for identifying the lesions detected by 18F-FDG PET/CT.

Observational Study
Two Year Study of Aflibercept and Ranibizumab Intravitreal Therapy in Patients with Wet AMD.
Background and objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic results in patients with exudative AMD treated with ranibizumab and aflibercept intravitreal injections over a two-year observation period. Materials and methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted in a clinical hospital on a group of patients who randomly qualified for treatment with Aflibercept (group A) and Ranibizumab (group B) as part of the Polish National Health Fund Medical Program for exudative AMD. Group A consisted of 90 patients, and group B contained 54 patients. ⋯ The influences of the following factors were studied: age, gender, initial BCVA, and initial CRT, as well as the number of injections received. Results: No significant statistical differences were found between patients receiving Aflibercept and Ranibizumab therapy in terms of achieving improved visual acuity and reducing retinal thickness after two years of therapy. Conclusions: Both aflibercept and ranibizumab were found to be effective for treating exudative AMD.

Background and Objectives: This retrospective study evaluated the clinical impact of enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) on the clinical outcomes in patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Moreover, by focusing on the use of a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR), we investigated the medical personnel's perceptions of wearing PAPR during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Materials and Methods: According to the arrival time at the emergency department, the patients were categorized into a conventional PPE group (1 August 2019 to 20 January 2020) and an enhanced PPE group (21 January 2020, to 31 August 2020). ⋯ Although a significant number of respondents experienced inconveniences with PAPR use, they agreed that PAPR was necessary during the CPR procedure for protection and reduction of infection transmission. Conclusion: The use of enhanced PPE, including PAPR, affected the performance of CPR to some extent but did not alter patient outcomes. PAPR use during the resuscitation of OHCA patients might positively impact the psychological stability of the medical staff.

Review Case Reports
Severe Neonatal Anemia Due to Spontaneous Massive Fetomaternal Hemorrhage at Term: An Illustrative Case with Suspected Antenatal Diagnosis and Brief Review of Current Knowledge.
Fetomaternal hemorrhage is defined as transfer of fetal blood into placental circulation and therefore into maternal circulation during pregnancy, and represents an important contributor to intrauterine fetal demise and neonatal death. The condition is rarely diagnosed prenatally because clinical findings are often nonspecific, and it is unpredictable. ⋯ We discuss obstetrical and neonatal management and review the current knowledge in the literature. Maintaining a high index of suspicion for this condition allows the obstetrician to plan for adequate diagnostic tests, arrange intrauterine treatment or delivery, and prepare the neonatal team.
