Background and Objectives: For stage IIIb-IV ovarian cancer, bevacizumab-containing treatment is considered the standard of care. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of bevacizumab in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel as a first-line treatment for advanced ovarian cancer. Materials and Methods: Eligible patients had stage IIIc-IV ovarian cancer according to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics with no clinical signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal obstruction or a history of abdominal fistulae, gastrointestinal perforation, or intra-abdominal abscess or evidence of rectosigmoid involvement by pelvic examination, bowel involvement on computed tomography, or clinical symptoms of bowel obstruction in the previous 6 months. ⋯ The median overall survival was not reached. Conclusions: This was, to our knowledge, the first trial in Serbia to show progression-free survival and overall survival of combination regimens in advanced ovarian cancer. Based on the observed progression-free survival, bevacizumab combined with chemotherapy should be considered as a standard option in advanced ovarian cancer.

Background and Objectives: Adrenal incidentaloma is an adrenal mass that is found incidentally in abdominal imaging studies. It is important to categorize whether the mass is a functioning or non-functioning incidentaloma to determine the appropriate management and follow-up. Our study aimed to identify predictive factors for functioning adrenal incidentaloma that could assist in early detection and in determining which patients may require hormonal investigations. ⋯ Results: A significant clinical predictor for functioning adrenal incidentaloma is a history of hypertension (OR 2.72, 95% CI(1.53, 4.82)), while significant radiological predictors include mass size >4 cm (OR 2.20, 95% CI(1.20, 4.02)) and Hounsfield units (HU) < 10 (OR 2.47, 95% CI(1.23, 4.94)). Conclusions: These easy-to-obtain clinical and radiological predictors can be used to help identify functioning adrenal incidentaloma. In clinical practice, taking these factors into consideration could potentially reduce the number of investigations required to diagnose functioning adrenal incidentaloma.

The purpose of this case report is to introduce a novel guided bone regeneration (GBR) technique that utilized bone harvested from previously grafted maxillary sinus with deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) 16 years ago. The patient is a 63-year-old male with hopeless maxillary right molars due to severe bone loss. Two months after the extraction, two bone blocks were harvested with a trephine drill from the lateral wall. ⋯ The final prosthesis was delivered six months post-operatively. No change in crestal bone around the implant was observed throughout the 2 year follow-up period. Within the limitation of the present case report, previously grafted sinus can be a good donor site for further harvesting for a successful GBR procedure.

It is well documented that whole body-vibration training has effects on muscle strength and flexibility, blood circulation, decreases pain perception and strengthens bone and tendon. Although whole body-vibration has benefits in athletes' flexibility, we are not sure what its actual effects are in artistic gymnastics (since they already have stunning flexibility). Hence, the aim of this study was to analyse the studies on whole-body vibration in artistic gymnastics and to present the effects on flexibility. ⋯ In addition, a combination of whole-body vibration and traditional static stretching may enhance the flexibility in artistic gymnasts. However, these results should be taken with caution. Since this review did not reveal the optimal vibrational protocol, it is necessary to invest time during the implementation of various vibrational experimental protocols, so future research is required.
