Background and Objectives: This retrospective study aims to evaluate the prevalence, radiographic features, and clinical relevancy of the accessory canals (AC) of the canalis sinuosus (CS) in patients referred for implant surgery. Materials and Methods: Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of the patients were collected and ACs were evaluated. Age, sex, bilateral distribution, localization, diameter, distance to the buccal cortical plate, distance to the crest of the alveolar ridge, terminal ending localization, and the presence of tooth or implant were recorded. ⋯ This argument is in line with the information on the CS in Gray's Anatomy, 42nd Edition. Impaired healings and complications of the CS can be avoided if clinicians follow the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology guidelines regarding pre-operative implant examination. Otherwise, avertible complications may cause significant impairments in quality of life.

Recently, it was demonstrated that copper complexes and 3,4-diaminopyridine can effectively reduce the activity of the botulinum neurotoxin light chain. The aim of the present study was to indicate that treatment with an antidote may have a major influence, not only on the extremely rare disease of botulism, but also on the much more frequently occurring side effects experienced during BoNT therapy. This was a retrospective chart review of patients who were regularly treated with BoNT for various indications. ⋯ Additionally, in the BoNT treatment of pain syndromes (such as tension headaches or migraines), neck weakness may occur. Across all indications for clinical BoNT applications, clinical signs of BoNT overdosing may occur in up to 5% of the BoNT-treated patients. Therefore, the development of an antidote for BoNT overdoses would be very much appreciated and would have a major influence on the management of BoNT therapy.

Successful Endovascular Surgery for Iatrogenic Common Iliac Artery Injury during Lumbar Spine Surgery: A Case Report.
An 80-year-old man was admitted with an L5 compression fracture, L4/5 spondylolisthesis, and L5 radiculopathy and underwent a TLIF procedure. Refractory hypotension occurred, though it indicated a possible great vessel injury with vasopressor and fluid infusion. Emergent intraoperative angiography was performed, which showed extravasation at the right common iliac artery. ⋯ Great vessel injury during the TLIF procedure is rare but fatal. Refractory hypotension is indicative of a great vessel injury. Endovascular intervention is a fast and promising method to diagnose and treat arterial injury.

Clinical outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) have improved remarkably. However, residual rotational instability of the knee joint remains a major concern. ⋯ Although several techniques for ALLR have recently been introduced, the ideal graft type and surgical technique for combined ACLR and ALLR are yet to be established. This technical note therefore aimed at introducing a novel surgical procedure involving the use of a single Achilles tendon allograft as a relatively simple and minimally invasive procedure for combined ALL and ACL reconstruction.

Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is an ossifying and ankylosing skeletal condition that can be associated with DISH-related dysphagia in the case of cervical involvement. In contrast to most cases of dysphagia, which are managed conservatively, DISH-related dysphagia can be discouraging due to the progressive nature of DISH. ⋯ Patients' symptoms improved following osteophyte removal, without recurrence. In cases of DISH-related dysphagia, osteophyte removal using an osteotome could improve dysphagia safely and quickly.
