Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies worldwide; incidences are rising, with 417,367 new cases registered in 2020. Of these, the proportion of women that are of reproductive age is around 4-14% and the number is increasing. ⋯ The aim of our review is to provide an overview of the latest significant recommendations in the diagnosis and therapy of endometrial cancer during reproductive age. In this paper the most recent groundbreaking molecular discoveries in endometrial cancer are highlighted and discussed as an opportunity to enhance the prognostic and therapy options in this special patient collective.

Investigation of The Effects of Oxytocin Administration Timing on Postpartum Hemorrhage during Cesarean Section.
Background and Objectives: To determine and compare the effects of the timing of oxytocin administration (routinely used for intraoperative uterotonic purposes in cesarean section (CS) deliveries in our clinic) on the severity of postpartum hemorrhage following CS. Materials and Methods: All study participants (n = 216) had previous cesarean deliveries, were 38-40 weeks pregnant, and had CS planned under elective conditions. The cases were randomly divided into two groups: one group (n = 108) receiving oxytocin administration before the removal of the placenta (AOBRP) and another group (n = 108) receiving oxytocin administration after the removal of the placenta (AOARP). ⋯ The intraoperative hemorrhage level was higher in the AOARP group (p = 0.000). Conclusions: The administration of oxytocin before placenta removal did not change the volume of bleeding in the postoperative period but significantly reduced the volume of bleeding in the intraoperative period. Therefore, in the postoperative period, the HB and HTC values of the AOBRP group were higher than those of the AOARP group.

Characteristics and Outcomes of Liver Transplantation Recipients after Tranexamic Acid Treatment and Platelet Transfusion: A Retrospective Single-Centre Experience.
Background and Objectives: Patients undergoing liver transplantation (LT) often require increased blood product transfusion due to pre-existing coagulopathy and intraoperative fibrinolysis. Strategies to minimise intraoperative bleeding and subsequent blood product requirements include platelet transfusion and tranexamic acid (TXA). Prophylactic TXA administration has been shown to reduce bleeding and blood product requirements intraoperatively. ⋯ Time to extubate was significantly different in both those who required TXA and platelet transfusion intraoperatively. Conclusions: Our analysis indicates that LT recipients still required copious intraoperative transfusion of blood products, despite the use of intraoperative TXA and platelets. Our findings have important implications for current transfusion practice in LT recipients and may guide clinicians to act upon these findings, which will support global efforts to encourage a wider use of TXA to reduce transfusion requirements, including platelets.

Influence of Three Different Surgical Techniques on Microscopic Damage of Saphenous Vein Grafts-A Randomized Study.
Background and Objectives: The saphenous vein is one of the most common used grafts (SVG) for surgical revascularization. The mechanism of the SVGs occlusion is still unknown. Surgical preparation techniques have an important role in the early and late graft occlusion. ⋯ Immunohistochemical examination revealed a high grade of staining in the NT group compared to the CVH and EVH group (CD 31 antibody p = 0.02, FVIII, p < 0.001, Caveolin, p = 0.001, and eNOS, p = 0.003). Conclusion: The best preservation of the structural vein integrity was in the NT group, while the lowest rate of leg wound complication was in the EVH group. These facts increase the interest in developing and implementing the endoscopic no-touch technique.
