Background and Objectives: Phytotherapeutically, various herbal remedies, such as St. John's wort oil, have been introduced as wound care options. Recently, Neem oil has been considered a herbal option for the management of superficial wounds. ⋯ Conclusions: The combination of St. John's wort and Neem oil could be suggested as an efficient active phytoconstituent for the management of PUs. The herbal ointments may be suggested as an alternative for the patients that have PUs in the ICUs.

Background and Objectives: This study aims to evaluate artificial intelligence-calculated hepatorenal index (AI-HRI) as a diagnostic method for hepatic steatosis. Materials and Methods: We prospectively enrolled 102 patients with clinically suspected non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). All patients had a quantitative ultrasound (QUS), including AI-HRI, ultrasound attenuation coefficient (AC,) and ultrasound backscatter-distribution coefficient (SC) measurements. ⋯ The AI-HRI could detect mild steatosis (AUC = 0.758, 95% CI = 0.621-0.894) with fair and moderate/severe steatosis (AUC = 0.803, 95% CI = 0.721-0.885) with good accuracy. However, the performance of AI-HRI was not significantly different (p < 0.578) between the two diagnostic tasks. Conclusions: AI-HRI is an easy-to-use, reproducible, and accurate QUS method for diagnosing mild and moderate hepatic steatosis.

Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and coexistent cataract treated with phacoemulsification cataract surgery, either alone or in combination with trabeculectomy. Methods: Participants in this retrospective study were 52 patients diagnosed with previously controlled POAG and coexistent cataract, who underwent either uneventful phacoemulsification cataract surgery (Group I, n = 27) or combined uneventful phacoemulsification cataract surgery and trabeculectomy (Group II, n = 25), with at least a 24-month postoperative follow-up. We recorded the changes in intraocular pressure (IOP) and in the need of anti-glaucoma medications before and after surgical procedures. ⋯ At month 24, patients in both groups needed about one additional anti-glaucoma medication to control their IOP. Of note, during the first month after surgery, 20% of patients in Group II needed 0.1 mL 5-FU injections to the bleb, although antimetabolites were not used in the primary surgery. Conclusions: Both surgical interventions, namely phacoemulsification cataract surgery alone and phacoemulsification/trabeculectomy, were found to be effective in the management of POAG with coexistent cataract, presenting a significant decrease in IOP and in the need of anti-glaucoma medications postoperatively at a long-term follow-up period of 24 months.

Muscle herniation of the lower extremity, such as tibialis anterior muscle herniation (TAMH), is not a rare cause of leg pain in athletes. However, a few studies have reported surgical treatment for TAMH, and the optimal surgical procedure remains controversial. Fasciotomy was reported to be effective for patients with TAMH. ⋯ The patient was asymptomatic without palpation of the traumatic neuroma of the SPN at the latest follow-up examination. In conclusion, the present case report suggests that orthopedic surgeons need to consider the risk of iatrogenic injury to the SPN during fasciotomy for the treatment of TAMHs. However, there may be a risk of injuring the SPN because of the many variants of the course of the SPN within the compartment of the lower extremities.

Observational Study
Oral Health and Oral Health-Related Quality of Life in Patients with Primary Sjögren's Syndrome.
Background and Objectives: Oral disorders, frequently observed in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome, can profoundly affect patients' daily lives and well-being, as oral health represents a fundamental part of general health. Saliva plays an essential part in maintaining and protecting oral health, so the decrease in its quantity and quality leads to chronic oral discomfort alongside a broad spectrum of problems. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the oral health of patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome and establish its effect on the different domains of their oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). ⋯ Conclusions: Patients with oral alterations had a substantially decreased OHRQoL. These findings emphasize the importance of oral diseases for patients' well-being. Therefore, it is essential for dentists to be included in the multidisciplinary teams managing primary Sjögren's syndrome, as improving patients' oral status would lead to better oral health and enhanced OHRQoL.
