Background and objectives: The incidence of injuries in rugby is extremely high, but studies have rarely examined the predictors of injury in amateur players. This study aimed to systematically analyse sports and injury factors as potential predictors of musculoskeletal injuries in senior-level amateur rugby players. Methods: The participants in this study were 101 senior-level rugby players from Croatia (average of 24.64 years old). ⋯ Therefore, in order to reduce the number of injuries, special emphasis should be placed on the specific tackling technique of forward players, which could both increase their situational efficiency and protect them from injuries. Additionally, perceived pain, injury history, and playing with injury were noted among injury factors as the ones that can be predictors of future injuries. In that manner, it is important that coaching and medical staff monitor players with previous injuries and with pain symptoms in order to act preventively against injury occurrence.

Background and Objectives: Inguinal hernia is a common surgical disease. Traditional open herniorrhaphy has been replaced by laparoscopic herniorrhaphy. Nowadays, many attempts at robotic herniorrhaphy have been reported in western countries, but there have been no reports in South Korea. ⋯ Cumulative sum analysis revealed an approximately 12-case learning curve for robotic-assisted TAPP hernia surgery. Conclusions: Robotic-assisted TAPP inguinal hernia surgery is technically acceptable to surgeons who have performed laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery, and the learning curve is relatively short. It is thought to be a good step toward learning other robot-assisted operations.

Background and Objectives: The relationship between three-dimensional (3D) scanning-derived body surface measurements and biomarkers in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) were assessed. Methods and Methods: The recruitment of 98 patients with CAD confirmed by cardiac catheterization and 98 non-CAD patients were performed between March 2016 and December 2017. A health questionnaire on basic information, life style variables, and past medical and family history was completed. 3D body surface measurements and biomarkers were obtained. ⋯ Results: It was found that chest width (odds ratio [OR] 0.761, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.586-0.987, p = 0.0399), right arm length (OR 0.743, 95% CI = 0.632-0.875, p = 0.0004), waist circumference (OR 1.119, 95% CI = 1.035-1.21, p = 0.0048), leptin (OR 1.443, 95% CI = 1.184-1.76, p = 0.0003), adiponectin (OR 0.978, 95% CI = 0.963-0.994, p = 0.006), and interleukin 6 (OR 1.181, 95% CI = 1.021-1.366, p = 0.0254) were significantly associated with CAD. The combination of biomarker scores and body measurement scores had the greatest area under the curve and best association with CAD (area under the curve of 0.8049 and 95% CI = 0.7440-0.8657). Conclusions: Our study suggests that 3D derived body surface measurements in combination with leptin, adiponectin, and interleukin 6 levels may direct us to those at risk of CAD, allowing a non-invasive approach to identifying high-risk patients.

Enterolith Treated with a Combination of Double-Balloon Endoscopy and Cola Dissolution Therapy.
A 71-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis who had been taking NSAIDs for many years consulted our hospital for abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with a small bowel obstruction due to an enterolith according to an abdominal CT scan that showed dilation from the enterolith in the small intestine on the oral side. It was considered that the intestinal stone was formed due to stagnation of intestinal contents and had gradually increased in size, resulting in an intestinal obstruction. ⋯ It has been suggested that DBE may be a therapeutic option in cases of an enterolith. Further, cola dissolution therapy has been shown to be useful in treating an enterolith, with the possible explanation that cola undergoes an acid-base reaction with the enterolith. In summary, we report, for the first time, treatment of an enterolith with a combination of DBE and cola dissolution therapy, thereby avoiding surgery and its risks.

Background: Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is an antineutrophil-cytoplasmic-antibody (ANCA)-associated small-vessel vasculitis characterized by necrotizing granulomatous inflammation. Symptoms of skin involvement can appear in 30-50% of patients with GPA, and may present as the initial presentation. Case Presentation: We describe two patients who presented with multiple deep, large, nonhealing skin ulcers postoperatively with purulent drainage and fever. ⋯ Atypical manifestations may lead to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. GPA may initially present in a localized form before progressing to a generalized disease. The two cases we have highlighted will prompt clinicians to nevertheless call for a low threshold for diagnosis.
