Developing in a limited space, rare tumors located at the nose and paranasal sinuses are sometimes difficult to diagnose due to their modest clinical presentation, which is uncorrelated with anatomopathological diversity. This limits the preoperative diagnosis without added immune histochemical study; for that reason, we present our experience with these tumors with the intention of raising awareness. The patient included in our study was investigated by our department through clinical and endoscopic examination, imaging investigations, and an anatomic-pathological study. The selected patient gave consent for participation and inclusion in this research study in compliance with the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki.

Cognitive impairment is a common comorbidity in patients with COPD, significantly impacting health and clinical outcomes. Yet it remains under investigated and is largely overlooked. Although the exact cause of cognitive impairment in patients with COPD is still unclear, factors such as hypoxemia, vascular disease, smoking, exacerbation, and physical inactivity have been suggested. ⋯ There is a need to consider cognitive screening as a part of COPD assessment to promote early detection of cognitive impairment. Recognizing cognitive impairment early in the course of the illness allows the development of individualized interventions to meet patients' needs and improve clinical outcomes. Pulmonary rehabilitation should be tailored to cognitively impaired patients with COPD to maximize the benefits and minimize the incompletion rate.

(1) Background: Achilles tendon rupture is a common sports injury that may result in severe disability. The overall incidence of Achilles tendon rupture is increasing as a result of growing sports participation. However, cases of spontaneous bilateral Achilles tendon rupture with no underlying disease or risk factors, such as systemic inflammatory disease, steroid or (fluoro)quinolone antibiotics use, are rare. (2) Objective: Here, we report a case of a Taekwondo athlete's bilateral Achilles tendon rupture after kicking and landing. ⋯ During surgery, no degenerative changes or denaturation were observed in the ruptured areas of the Achilles tendons. Bilateral surgery was performed using the modified Bunnel method on the right side and minimum-section suturing on the left side was performed using the Achillon system, followed by lower limb casting. (4) Result: Good outcomes were observed on both sides at 19 months postoperatively. (5) Conclusion: The possibility of bilateral Achilles tendon rupture during exercise in young subjects with no risk factors should be acknowledged, especially in association with landing. In addition, in athletes, even if there is a possibility of complications, surgical treatment should be considered for functional recovery.

Background and Objectives: The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a major role in neoplastic development. Various types of cells can be found in the TME. These cells can be classified into two groups, immunosuppressive and immunostimulatory types, depending on the function they perform in the antitumor immune response (IR). ⋯ Conclusions: The separate evaluation of CD68+ immune cells in the TME as intratumoral and stromal is not beneficial for defining prognoses, since the presence of these cells is not associated with the patient's stage. In our study, the presence of CD8+ cells was significantly associated with lymph node metastases. The prognostic value of the obtained results can be enriched with an additional study of the lymphocyte phenotype, including B and other subtypes of T lymphocytes, NK cells, as well as molecules involved in the immune response, such as HLA subtypes.

Potential Application of Pulsed Field Ablation in Ventricular Arrhythmias.
Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is a new ablative method for the therapy of arrhythmia. Recent preclinical and clinical studies have already demonstrated the feasibility and safety of PFA for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF). ⋯ Further, a case report about PFA has been published recently, in which PFA was successfully applied to the ablation of premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) from the right ventricular outflow tract. Thus, we aimed to review recent research findings of PFA in ventricular ablation and evaluate the possibility of its application in VAs.
