The usage of xenograft material is widely used in almost all oral cavity bone defects for regenerative and reconstructive purposes. The presented xenograft usage in the following care report enabled good bone defect healing and enabled the preservation of affected premolars. It is quite common to use any possible variations of bone materials to ensure bone defect improved healing. ⋯ Possible nerve damage can be divided into many etiological factors. A quite different situation arises when the nerve is pulled in by the cyst growth into the cyst wall. The presented case report describes the outcomes of a cyst removal from the mandibular basis and treatment modalities.

Review Meta Analysis
Antibiotic Use in Dental Implant Procedures: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Background and Objectives: This project was developed from anecdotal evidence of varied practices around antibiotic prescribing in dental procedures. The aim of the study was to ascertain if there is evidence to support whether antibiotic (AB) use can effectively reduce postoperative infections after dental implant placements (DIPs). Materials and Methods: Following PRISMA-P© methodology, a systematic review of randomised controlled clinical trials was designed and registered on the PROSPERO© database. ⋯ NNH was 528 indicating that possible harm caused by the use of ABs is very small and does not negate the AB use when indicated. Conclusion: The routine use of prophylactic antibiotics to prevent infection in dental implant placement was found to be not sufficiently effective to justify routine use. Clear clinical assessment pathways, such as those used for medical conditions, based on the patients' age, dental risk factors, such as oral health and bone health, physical risk factors, such as chronic or long-term conditions and modifiable health determinants, such as smoking, are required to prevent the unnecessary use of antibiotics.

Background and Objectives: Anatomical variations in the head, neck and chest are common, and are observed as occasional findings on computed tomography (CT). Although anatomical variations are mostly asymptomatic and do not cause any negative influence on the body function, they may jeopardize diagnosis and may be confused with pathological conditions. The presence of variations may also limit surgical access during tumor removal. ⋯ Conclusions: awareness of these variations is important for radiologists interpreting head, neck and chest CTs; for example, those of oropharyngeal cancer patients. This study also illustrates the applicability of publicly available datasets in prevalence-based anatomical research. While most of the variations investigated in the present study are well-known, the episternal ossicles are not well explored, and need further investigation.

Cardiac masses are currently studied using multimodality imaging. For diagnosis, different imaging techniques that can provide complementary information are used. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become a fundamental tool for this type of pathology owing to its ability to provide tissue characterization, spatial accuracy, and the anatomic relationships of the different structures. ⋯ Cardiac MRI was decisive in the diagnostic process, determining the clinical decision-making in all four cases. Cardiac MRI has emerged as a pivotal technique in the diagnosis of cardiac masses. It can provide a highly accurate histological diagnosis without the need for invasive techniques.

Background and Objectives: Impaired wound healing represents an unsolved medical issue with a high impact on patients' quality of life and global health care. Even though hypoxia is a significant limiting factor for wound healing, it reveals stimulating effects in gene and protein expression at cellular levels. In particular, hypoxically treated human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) have previously been used to stimulate tissue regeneration. ⋯ Even a short hypoxic treatment of 24 h led to the stimulation of LECs and HUVECs in an ASC-co-culture. Long-term hypoxia showed a continuous influence on gene expressions. Therefore, this work emphasizes the supporting effects of hypoxia-conditioned-ASC-loaded collagen scaffolds on wound healing in dermal regeneration.
