Introduction: Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a genetically inherited disease characterized by recurrent bullae and erosions on the skin with numerous signs of dental caries and poor oral hygiene. The aim of this study was to investigate the general clinical and oral findings of patients with EB. Materials and Methods: In this prospective study, the clinical and oral findings and family history of 26 cases with EB were evaluated. ⋯ It may result from delayed oral and dental rehabilitation due to physical disabilities, limitations and more pressing medical problems. Microstomy, pain from mucosal lesions, and restricted access to the mouth can be caused by poor oral hygiene. Oral complications and caloric needs of individuals with EB should be determined, and individual prophylaxis should be applied to prevent caries formation and protect teeth.

Medial meniscus posterior root tears (MMRTs), defined as tears or avulsions that occur within 1 cm of the tibial attachment of the medial meniscus posterior root, lead to biomechanically detrimental knee conditions by creating a functionally meniscal-deficient status. Given their biomechanical significance, MMRTs have recently been gaining increasing interest. Accordingly, numerous studies have been conducted on the anatomy, biomechanics, clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of MMRTs, and extensive knowledge has been accumulated. Although a consensus has not yet been reached on several issues, such as surgical indications, surgical techniques, and rehabilitation protocols, this article aimed to comprehensively review the current knowledge on MMRTs and to introduce the author's treatment strategies.

Ovarian cancer is a malignant disease that affects thousands of patients every year. Currently, we use surgical techniques for early-stage cancer and chemotherapy treatment combinations for advanced stage cancer. ⋯ We conducted a thorough search on PubMed and gathered up-to-date information regarding epithelial ovarian cancer therapies. We present, in the current review, all novel treatments that were investigated in this field over the past five years, with a particular focus on local treatment.

Background and Objectives: Potential Celiac Disease (PCD) is defined by positive celiac serology without villous atrophy. We aimed to describe the short-term outcome of pediatric PCD while consuming a gluten-containing diet (GCD). Materials and Methods: Retrospective analysis of pediatric PCD patients continuing GCD, between December 2018-January 2022. ⋯ In patients with TTG >10 × ULN at diagnosis, TTG normalized in 5/17, decreased to 3-10 × ULN in 8/17, and remained above 10 × ULN in 4/17. Conclusions: During the short-term follow-up of pediatric PCD patients, less than 15% progressed to CeD. A third had normalized TTG levels, including children with TTG >10 × ULN, indicating the need for periodic serological and histological follow-up among PCD patients.

Background: Renal infarction is an extremely rare disease. Although more than 95% of cases are symptomatic, there have been no previously reported asymptomatic cases, without any abnormal blood and urine test findings. Furthermore, the efficacy of long-term treatment of idiopathic renal infarction remains unknown. ⋯ The anticoagulation therapy was terminated after about 18 months without any incidences of re-infarction or bleeding events. Conclusions: We reported a very rare case of asymptomatic idiopathic renal infarction where blood and urine tests revealed no abnormal findings, and it was diagnosed incidentally during a post-treatment follow-up examination for lower rectal cancer. Long-term anticoagulant therapy for idiopathic renal infarction should be terminated at an appropriate time, taking the risk of bleeding into account.
