Background and Objectives: Multiple sclerosis is a chronic demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Individuals with multiple sclerosis may require daily care and support from caregivers due to the disease's progressive and unpredictable nature. However, the role of caregiving is not without its challenges, and caregivers themselves often face significant repercussions in terms of their quality of life, mental health, and stress levels. ⋯ Stress levels in the KCSS were negatively correlated with both PCS and MCS of SF-36 and female gender, education level, monthly income, limits of mobility, and patient's level of dependence were associated with higher levels of stress. Conclusions: Stress was found to be negatively connected with caregivers' quality of life, affecting both physical and mental health. Female caregivers, caregivers with a primary education level and a low monthly income, and caregivers of patients with serious illnesses who rely primarily on daily help were the most affected.

Background and Objectives: Robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) is a complex surgery with a steep learning curve (LC). No clear evidence exists for how previous laparoscopic experience affects the RARP LC. We report the LC of three surgeons with vast experience in laparoscopy (more than 400 procedures), analyzing the results of functional and oncological outcomes under the "Trifecta" concept (defined as the achievement of continence, potency, and oncological control free of biochemical recurrence). ⋯ Surgeons "a", "b", and "c" performed 50, 47, and 49 cases, respectively. After CUSUM analysis, the "Trifecta" LC peak was achieved at case 19 in surgeon "a", 21 in surgeon "b", and 20 in surgeon "c". Conclusions: RARP LC to accomplish "Trifecta" can be significantly reduced in surgeons with previous experience in laparoscopy and be achieved at around 20 cases.

Background and Objectives: Patients with perianal Crohn's (CD) fistula often need repetitive surgeries and none of the established techniques was shown to be superior or preferable. Furthermore, the long-term outcome of fistula Seton drainage is not well described. The aims of this study were to analyze the long-term healing and recurrence rate of CD perianal fistulas in a large patient cohort. ⋯ Conclusions: First-line fistulectomies, when feasible, achieved the highest healing rates, but one-third of patients required additional surgeries, and one-fourth of patients will remain with a fistula at 10 years. Initial Seton drainage and concurrent medical therapy can achieve fistula closure in 75%. However, in 50% of patients, more surgeries are needed, and fistula closure is achieved in only two-thirds of patients.

Background and Objectives: Even though measles is easily prevented by vaccination, infection outbreaks are not rare. Infection carries a great risk for pulmonary complications, which are sometimes hard to predict, especially in a group of outpatients. This study aims to evaluate the association between serum CRP changes and the severity of respiratory complications in the group of inpatients treated for measles. ⋯ Results: Results of the study revealed that there are almost no differences in the clinical presentation of patients with measles and those complicated with pneumonia. The examined CRP changes are found to correlate with the observable degree of pneumonia; however, they do not correspond to the changes visible in chest X-rays. Conclusions: CRP changes in the serum of patients with measles with mild clinical pictures could be a potential predictor for the development of some pulmonary complications.
