The COVID-19 vaccination campaign is going on in Nepal through different phases of immunisation. It has been observed that people are misusing antipyretics and analgesics with the fear of adverse events following immunisation. The possibility of antipyretics and analgesics blunting the antibody response of the human body can be a potential cause for lower immune response and thus a reason for lower efficacy of the vaccine. Prophylactic use of over-the-counter analgesics and antipyretics is to be discouraged until the data for or against its use is available.

ReviewProgress in Diagnosis and Treatment of Neonatal Sepsis: A Review Article.
Neonatal sepsis is a serious condition in which the pathogens infiltrate the bloodstream, multiply and produce toxins causing deleterious effects to the health of neonates. It is divided into two types on the basis of the time of onset. ⋯ Though intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis has decreased the incidence of early-onset group B streptococcal infection dramatically, it still remains a major cause of neonatal sepsis. As the signs and symptoms of neonatal sepsis are nonspecific, early diagnosis and prompt treatment remain a challenge.

Poor Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Two Tertiary Care Centers during COVID-19 Lockdown: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Lockdown enforced to control the rapid transmission of novel coronavirus has resulted in the confinement of people in the home and restrictions of movement. This may have altered the lifestyle and glycemic control of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. This study aimed to find the prevalence of poor glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in two tertiary care centres during COVID-19 lockdown. ⋯ COVID-19; glycemic control; healthy lifestyle; lockdown; type 2 diabetes.

Iliac Crest Bone Graft Harvesting: Modified Technique for Reduction of Complications.
Bone graft harvesting is one of the common procedures in orthopaedics surgery, and iliac crest is the gold standard donor site for autologous bone graft. There are a number of complications related with harvesting iliac crest bone graft, "donor site pain" is the commonest one. We modified the conventional surgical technique for autogenous iliac crest bone graft on patients who underwent anterior cervical decompression/corpectomy and fusion surgeries. ⋯ Mean Visual Analog Score was 2.62±1.80, 1.83±1.41, and 1.10±1.20 at the time of suture removal (14 days), at six weeks and three months respectively. At one year of follow-up, no patient complained of donor site pain. Our surgical modification has encouraging results and thus can be advocated for bone graft.

Co-infection of Uropathogenic Escherichia coli among COVID-19 Patients Admitted to a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Simultaneous infection of antibiotic-resistant uropathogens in patients with COVID-19 has necessitated the revision of the prescription of broad-spectrum antibiotics on the grounds of evidence-based studies and antimicrobial stewardship principles. The objective of this study was to find out the prevalence of uropathogenic Escherichia coli co-infection among hospital-admitted COVID-19 patients of a tertiary care centre. ⋯ antimicrobial drug resistance; co-infection; COVID-19; Escherichia coli; procalcitonin.
