Ocular Morbidity among Patients Visiting the Department of Ophthalmology during the Coronavirus Disease 2021 Pandemic at a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus disease 2021 pandemic and lockdown, eye care services have been compromised globally. The magnitude of ocular diseases across all populations in Nepal are few and far between and rare during this pandemic. This study was aimed to find out the prevalence of ocular morbidity among patients visiting the department of Ophthalmology of a tertiary care hospital during the pandemic. ⋯ The prevalence of ocular morbidity in our study was higher than findings from other similar studies done at national and international levels, though the causes of ocular morbidity was similar.

The government of Nepal proposed to provide health services for both COVID and non-COVID infected patients through telemedicine. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Nepal, the number of people taking online health services, including counselling, increased by 70% as compared to last year in the Kathmandu valley. People being depressed staying alone in isolation and quarantine can get an opportunity to talk and share their problems with doctors through the means of telemedicine. Telemedicine has saved the time, effort and money of people living in remote areas.

Sandifer syndrome is an extra oesophageal manifestation of gastrointestinal reflux disease that usually presents with torticollis and dystonia (often mimicking epilepsy). Here, we describe a case of a four and a half years old child with convulsion, neck contortion, and irritability. Gastrointestinal reflux disease was suspected on the earlier visit of the patient based on the presenting symptom of vomiting and cough. ⋯ The case was confirmed by a medication trial for gastrointestinal reflux disease. This syndrome is often misdiagnosed as infantile seizure and musculoskeletal disorder. So, physicians need to have a sound knowledge of Sandifer Syndrome while assessing a child presenting with convulsion and torticollis.

Inducible Clindamycin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus among Patients Attending Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Staphylococcus aureus, a superbug, resistant to multiple antibiotics led to growing interest in the usage of macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin B antibiotics, which are now rapidly developing resistance. This study aims to find the prevalence of inducible clindamycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus among obtained clinical samples from in-patient and out-patient departments of a tertiary care center. ⋯ The frequency of inducible clindamycin resistance among methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus was high, which alarms the use of macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin B antibiotics in Staphylococcus aureus infections. Hence, D-test should be performed to detect inducible clindamycin resistance in routine testing to prevent treatment failure.

ReviewPediatric Radiology in Era of COVID-19, International Consensus and What Lies Beyond Pneumonia: A Review.
Diagnostic radiology plays a crucial role in children. The pediatric population has been less studied than the adult population since the initial period of the COVID-19 pandemic to date. ⋯ Apart from the involvement of lungs, a multisystemic inflammatory syndrome in children or pediatric multi systemic inflammatory syndrome is unique in children. Therefore, awareness of the recent consensus, structural uniform reporting and multi-organ involving patterns in COVID-19 can guide radiologists for a better understanding of this complex novel disease leading to early diagnosis and timely treatment of affected children.
