Study of Vitamin-D Deficiency among Pregnant Women in their First Trimester Visiting a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Vitamin-D deficient pregnant women are more likely to have pregnancy complications like pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, diabetes, preterm birth, etc. Associated factors include ethnicity, skin coverall, use of sun protection, overweight, vitamin-D intake, and smoking. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of Vitamin-D deficiency among pregnant women in a tertiary level hospital. ⋯ The prevalence of vitamin-D deficiency was similar to other studies done in similar settings.

Ureteric Injuries after Hysterectomy in a Tertiary Care Center of Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Pelvic surgery is the most common cause of iatrogenic ureteral injury. The incidence of ureteric injuries varies between skilled and inexperienced surgeons. The study aims to determine the prevalence of ureteric injuries sustained during hysterectomy in a tertiary care center of Nepal. ⋯ Iatrogenic ureteric is still a major cause of harm and concern in hysterectomy. Patients with ureteric injury should be evaluated and intervened at the earliest.

Knowledge of Impacted Teeth among the Undergraduate Dental Students of a Medical College: A Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study.
Third molar impaction is a common patient complaint in dentistry. Common symptoms are localized pain, swelling, bleeding, and difficulty in mouth opening. Since dental students deal with patients early in their education, for better skill, they should have knowledge of various teeth impactions. Hence, the objective was to find out the knowledge of impacted teeth among undergraduate dental students of a medical college. ⋯ Dental students should be provided with appropriate 'impacted teeth' education supported by practical experience. More detailed information regarding impacted teeth should be included in the curriculum for better understanding.

Successful Endoscopic Management of Suspected Foreign Bodies in Upper Gastrointestinal Tract among Patients Undergoing Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Most ingested foreign bodies pass through the gastrointestinal tract spontaneously. However, some foreign bodies may get impacted in the upper gastrointestinal tract. A variety of endoscopic techniques and instruments are indicated for the removal of such impacted foreign bodies. This study was conducted to find out the prevalence of successful endoscopic removal of foreign bodies. ⋯ Endoscopic removal technique of foreign bodies in the upper gastrointestinal tract was successful in most of the cases and is associated with few complications.
